I have a bad experience with this vendor. Not only was my product delivered late (4 days after order, rather than 24-48 hours as advertised, but ComputersWorthless sold me software incompatible with my OS, and there was no mention on their site that it would not work with my 64bit system. When I called "John" for help, I was put on hold twice for over 10 minutes each time, then was basically told it was my fault for ordering the wrong product and there would be no refund or credit. Contrary to the positive reviews on pricegrabber about "John", he was defensive, rude, arrogant, unsympathetic, and very slow to respond to my follow-up emails. He finally just stopped responding to me altogether. Maybe I caught this guy on a bad day, but I know if I treated my customers like this I would be out of business! I am out $15 plus tax with unusable software, which I will probably just give to a friend with a 32 bit machine. It is hard to believe they would risk a bad review over a $15 product.
I order tens of thousands of dollars of software from Computersworth every year and have yet to be dissatisfied with them in any way. They are extremely customer oriented, provide great prices, prompt service, and never have had an issue with their products. Shipping is always reasonably priced and fast. The staff is very personable.
I occasionally ask pricing for budgeting for a specific project, but never ask pricing when I place orders because I know that I'm being treated fairly.
I have used this company for years, and look forward to continuing with them for many years to come.
After reading the good comments about this at other review sites about this company I purchased a Microsoft XP home edition OEM SP2 Operating System. The shipping was very fast almost next day via USPS. I went to install the new OS and there is a problem with the CD, it is defective because it cannot finish the OS install. Since this is my testing of software PC I have installed Microsoft 2000, and Microsoft XP Pro on this machine without issue.
I contacted them be email John@computersworth.com and I asked for a replacement and an RMA numer and return shipping address. John stated in his return email it is not an issue with the software but with my hardware. I stated to him that I do not have an hardware issue because I proved this in my emails to him that my PC can install win 2000 and win XP Pro on my machine without. I double checked this even after I tried installing the defective cd he sent. This proved that there is not a hardware issue. Even the microsoft link I sent to him proved this.
So I sent an email yesterday at 2:30 pm CST again asking for a replacement CD again and a shipping address and RMA number to send the defective CD back. As of today at 1:33 CST I have not recieved a response and when I call their 1-800 number all the phone does is ring with no answer. I am begining to think this guy is not reputable. I am giving him until the close of businsess today, 5:30 pm CST to resolve this issue or I am disputing the Credit Card charge. I wish I had read the reviews here about the credit card number security, I would have never have ordered from them if I knew this occured.
I will post an update as to what the bussiness response is or if I get one.
To be continued...
=========================================
Ok - just recieved an email from the companies contact email john@computersworth.com. They will honor my request for sending out another CD for Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition and I can send the defective one back to the return address on the shipping package they sent.
They stated that their phones are down due to construction on the road outside their office.
I feel better that at least they are agreeing to allowing me to exchange the software for another one. This is a sign of a good business practice.
Update...
John sent me a replacement CD, although had many very small scratches on it, I was expecting a new condition CD, in the same opened packaging that the original was shipped back in. Luckly the same COA worked for this replacemnt CD and I was able to install the MS XP Home Edition Software.
If I wasn't in the IT field this would have a big nightmare. I had to prove to John that the CD was defective before he agreed to replace the mechandise which I was able to do because of my work background. I don't think the average consumer would have been able to prove this nor should they have had to be required to do so. I will not be buying anything from Computersworth in the future because of this.

I've spent thousands of dollars with Computer's Worth over the last 3 years. I first discovered them while searching Pricewatch.com for some cheap software. What sealed the deal is the fact that they are in Texas, so ground shipping arrives in one day (most of the time).
John has always done me right, and 99% of my orders are shipped the same day. I always know up front if an item is not in stock that way a substitution can be made. The service level is top notch! Jack is a friendly fella as well. :P
Last Christmas John sent me one of Granny J's rum cakes. I've also ordered a few of them since they are delicious. If you want additional details please visit http://www.grannyjsbaking.com/
I'm back for some more software, CHEAP and FAST just how I like my women. LOL JUST KIDDING!!
This is a GREAT COMPANY to do business with. Why shop anywhere else?
UPDATE- Ordered 2 copies of Windows XP Home edition, only got one! Call ComputersWorth ask them to check on it. They sent out the second copy THAT DAY!! How's THAT FOR SERIVCE!!!
COMPUTERWORTH ROCKS!!!
Thanks Again!!

Good prices, nice customer service, but very slow to let you know an item is back ordered.
If you are in NO rush to recieve your software, then I would reccomend this company.
Ordered Ghost 9 on the phone besides some other apps. Got Ghost 2003. Called them up, very apologetic and sent the right disk via 2nd day. Included a prepaid UPS label to send the wrong disk back. Dealt with them before and this was the first problem.
I have always had a great buying experience from Computers Worth. They are fast, offer low-pricing, have recent and legitimate products, and good customer service. I have only had to call twice on a problem with an order (I have ordered probably 10 times through them), and both times the problem was resolved quickly and effortlessly.

Good prices. Slow shipping, or poor notice of backorder. Don't know which. Web site says same day shipping if ordered by 2 pm. Order placed at 1 am. I emailed after one week, told to wait a couple of more days, item had been mailed. Got package, postmarked same day I sent follow up email. Hmmm.... Item as ordered, just slow.
I placed an order on 3-1 and had it in hand by 3-4 and I live in VA. I've dealt with computers worth before and have never had any problem. Items arrive in good condition and are what they are advertised to be. The only thing I could wish for would be better communication. It would be nice if they would just send a short email to let you know when your items ship. I'll continue to do business with them till they give me a reason not to.
Obviously a startup company-- the order process wasn't very streamlined (no online status checking, no email confirmation on shipment, etc)-- but also obviously a company with a focus on customer service.
Their prices are awesome, their shipment was quick and their customer support was accessible and personable. I'm very satisfied with my experience, and will order again if I ever have software needs.
I bought Lexar media and it was shipped asap with no hassles. In December we received SPAM from people who had broken into Computersworth systems and stole credit card information as well as email addresses, etc. This information showed up in our email from a party claiming to represent freelotto.com (BUT IT WAS NOT anyone from freelotto.com) and apparently is now being investigated by the Secret Service.
I have Serious concerns about the security of Computersworth.com computer systems and would not recommend giving them my credit card number ever again. Too bad because they had good service.
I have tried contacting John or anyone else at Computersworth but no one has replied to any of our requests for information regarding this matter.
