Wow!! Ritz was honest, fast (free) shipping, no tax, with a price competitive with "bait and switch." websites. Minolta Dimage f300 at $299. Why use brick and mortar stores?

Ordered a Fuji Finepix F401 and got a free USB cradle/charger all for $199.99. Crazy deal, was slightly scared to order from this seller because of 2 dissatisfied reviews, but at that price, you can't beat a deal like that. Weird how they're not affiliated with the B&M RitzCamera Store, but oh well. Shipment arrived fairly quickly. Highly recommended seller!

I ordered a power pack for digital cameras. I expected the package in 6-10 days (ground) but came in 3 days. No problems at all.

I ordered a Canon Digital Rebel from Ritz Camera after using their on-line chat with a customer  
represenative to check some facts. Their service, shipping and price were all  
great. Possibly the best on-line ordering experience I have ever had. I will use them again.

ritzcamera.com BLOWS. I ordered a Canon digital Rebel for $999.99. CompUSA offered a 10% off price with a coupon 5 days later. After HOURS on the phone and FOUR e-mails that were NOT returned, one of their customer "service" reps offered me a refund of $37.  
 
Caveat Emptor folks!

Had a good experience. They offer real-time online help. They shipped my camera the same day and it was as advertised. They packaged it very well.  
 
No complaints at all.

I just ordered my canon powershot A70 camera from them, and received it in the mail via 2nd day shipping. It arrived on time, the day after the great blackout of 2003 (which was a big suprise)!  
 
My only qualm of the entire purchase was the packing. It wasn't intelligently packed, with the bubble spacers on one side of the box and the camera on the other side, leaving it flush against the cardboard of the packing box. The camera, and the camera's retail box were unscathed though.  
 
A big fear of shopping online is whether the item will come as a refurb, previously owned or an opened and returned package. The camera I received from Ritz was in retail packaging and perfectly packed, indicating it was never touched. Everything came inside the box as it was supposed to. The camera itself functioned great. Since I am always cautious of online dealers, I did carefully inspect it for previous use, and found no signs. The plastic covering on the LCD was still present. Very satisfied in this respect.  
 
The software they bundle complimentary was a very nice touch.  
 
Their website provided tracking info right in the order status page, which was nice. I still would have liked the actual tracking number, but I consider this insignifigant. They gave you everything except estimated delivery date... But you got to see where the package was, which is all that matters.  
 
Very good experience, and I'm very happy with the camera.

I ordered a Sony DSC-P52 on Sunday and it was shipped the next day, and delivered on-time on Friday (free ground shipping)

I purchased a Nikon D100 digital camera from Ritz Camera's website with the understanding that it was in stock. When the receipt came, it said 2 to 4 weeks delivery. I had to call them to confirm the order, and they verified that they none of these in stock, and should get them in about 3 weeks.  
I cancelled the order - however Ritz had already placed a hold for over $1700 on my credit card.  
 
These folks are extremely pleasant to deal with, and prices are pretty good, but be aware that they may charge the credit card long before they ship the merchandise. I am attempting to get the charge reversed.  

i would say i was totally cheated by the vendor. i ordered for a HP Photosmart digital camera. Before ordering the camera i had called the Online vendor to check with the return policy and if i can get it exchanged with the local store, for which they responded positively. When i finally got the camera i not only was it below par on quality, to my shock it was an refurbished piece and they had charged me for a new one. Initially when we took it to the store they said that they are out of stock and will check for an replacement, but now when i went to the store they claim that RitzCamera (the actual store) and www.RitzCamera.com are 2 diff entities. and they have no justification as to why they said they will accept exchanges at the store and why they are condradicting now, now they are advicing me to check with the manafacturer for an exchange. i am totally unhappy with the services rendered and they have rather CHEATED me. i would advice all future customers to avoid purchases from www.RitzCamera.com and also RitzCamera store, for this mistrust.

I wanted to order a Pentax Optio S and some accessories. I needed the camera within the next week or two so I was relieved to see that the website confirmed it as in stock. I called to place my order and the salesman confirmed it as in stock. I placed my order and received a prompt e-mail confirmation showing that my item was "In stock and reserved". When I checked my order status on line, I was surprised to see the camera status as "Contact us for shipdate". After calling them up, I found out that the camera was out of stock and they weren't expecting a shipment until the end of the month. I promptly canceled my order.

Good selection, adequate product information, poor customer service, unethical business tactics. Buyer beware: website claim of cameras including RitzCamera's "Digital Advantage $300 Bonus Pack". Rebate coupons on hard-to-sell items. Would seriously question their ratings history.

Order a Canon 10D from Ritz on Feb 27, after three weeks and numeris calls to the customer support I had to cancell the order. My experience was that of either no information about my backorder or lies as to when it will ship, next week, end of the week, etc. Never happened. My recommendation, find another vendor.

Based on my recent successful purchase I would consider buying from Ritzcamera.com again. I had read the low ratings, but since I had previously bought from them and wasn’t in a rush I decided to give them a try. Ordered the new Nikon D80 w/ 18-55 lens online at approx. 10pm on a Wed. night with free shipping and no sales tax. Shipped within 24 hrs with FedEx tracking number. I received product on a Tuesday afternoon. Product was new and exactly as described. They didn’t call me to try to sell addition items. Overall smooth transaction. I also used Google Checkout and Ebates.com for additional savings. (This review posted to Pricegrabber, Resellerratings, etc.)

Ordered Powershot S45 for $499, no sales tax, no shipping. Camera was in stock and shipped the next day. Paid 15 extra bucks for 2 day delivery. Ended up getting here 6 days later including weekend, so don't know if the 15 helped or not. Otherwise very satisfied; camera is USA model, no sales pitch, they say you can return some merchandise to their stores.
