I ordered a Sony A350 bundle with an 18-70, 55-200 lenses and a grip on April 30. Site said it would take up to 2-3 weeks until shipment as it was not in stock. Item shipped on May 4. Other than a couple of emails to resolve questions from my credit card company, there were no attempts to get me to add additional items. Package arrived when promised. Am very happy with this experience.

Ordered Nikon D60 with 2 lens kit (18-55mm VR and 55-200mm VR) on 4/12/2009. Then I found out people’s comments about Ritzcamera.com on this site. That really makes me to worry about my order. Within one week, I went on-line to chat with their representatives twice and no one seemed to know when the camera will be in. One week later after the order, got an e-mail to say they haven’t forgotten my order. On 4/22/2009, got another e-mail from them to inform me that my order has been shipped by FedEx but didn’t give me the tracking number. So I chatted with representative on-line and he was able to find a tracking number for me. Today (4/25/2009) I received my package and everything is as advertised. All items are brand new with original packaging. Very happy with Ritzcamera.com service. I have searched the web all over the place for the price and their price is a really good deal. Despite serious misgivings after reading all the negative reviews, I was pleasantly surprised with my recent experience. On 12/29, I ordered a Quantaray 18-200 zoom lens. It was delivered (with free shipping) as advertised on 12/31 in perfect condition. Tracking information was provided in a timely manner. Truly a positive experience! I wouldn't hesitate a minute to deal with Ritz in the future.

I would definitely buy from this place again. I purchased a Nikon D80 and did the 2 day shipping and I received right on time, with now problems or issues.

Placed an order for 3 SanDisk Extreme III SDHC cards. I needed to add one more item that I forgot to put in the cart before checkout so i sent them an email. About 3 hours later I received the shipping confirmation for the memory cards. Later I received an email about the item I wanted to add, and they said they would ship it separately for free (the cards also shipped for free). I was very impressed with the speed that my order was processed. They also ship to APO addresses which is a HUGE PLUS for me. I will definately order from Ritzcamera.com again.

100% Positive after a very bad feeling, not from any aspect of dealing with Ritz, but from reading the obvious flamings from a few dissatisfied customers who posted here on Reseller Ratings. I had not checked up on Ritz Camera on Reseller Ratings until after I had placed my online order. I received a second email the day after my order to call and confirm my order which I did immediately after ordering and became somewhat perplexed. I tried calling the fullfillment center in the wee hours of the morning and got no answer. It was then that I decided to check up on Ritz with Reseller Ratings, and I was extremely shocked. I called my credit card company and even though Ritz had not charged my card 48 hours after my order, I was told I could only dispute the charges afterward and could not stop them from occurring.
What a waste it would have been if I had cancelled my order !!!!
Very early on day three I started receiving shipping and tracking emails, and on the fourth day - a Saturday no less Fedex delivered four of the five items I had ordered and the items had been shipped from separate warehouses. One backordered item was not charged to my credit card. I received that item within nine days of my order, and once again Ritz provided excellent shipping and tracking emails.
I would not hesitate to make a major purchase from RitzCamera.com again. I received excellent shipping and tracking emails after a short delay. Everything was brand new with full U.S. warranties, and by taking advantage of an advertised sale I saved a couple of hundred dollars over the big online N.Y. city stores that I have dealt with before. I am very pleased !!!!

I ordered a Canon Rebel Xsi camera w/ kit lens on the 6/22 and received it on 6/24. Everything was in order and with prompt delivery. Can't ask for more than that.

Purchase: Canon 55-250mm IS Lens
I have to admit, after reading some of the negative feedback here, I was a little worried about the order I just placed. However, as with any business, there are customers that simply don't pay attention to things they order, and those you can't please...no matter what.
Not only did Ritz save me $50 over anywhere else I could find this lens, they had it in stock (some of the "professional" sites I used in the past didn't even carry it yet). I ordered it on a Friday AM, it arrived Monday AM.
Pros: Quick shipping and good service during the ordering phase. Good customer service overall. Quick emails about status of order. Good pricing.
Cons: Non-affiliation with Ritz Camera Centers is somewhat misleading. There was a problem with the "order status" portion of their website, which prevented me from tracking the package until I contacted customer service again a couple of times.
Overall, this was a good purchase. I'll buy from them again and would recommend them, based on my experience.

After making an order for a Rebel XTi which was listed as on sale for a significant amount off the usual price, I decided belatedly to check this site to see how the vendor was rated. I was a little worried by the negative reviews I found posted, but my experience has been quite different. I made the order and received EXACTLY what I ordered in about a week.
While I understand that many of the buyers have had bad experiences, I do caution readers to consider two things when reading reviews off this site:
First, people who are angry because things went wrong with their order are far more likely to write bad reviews than people who had good experience (I know this isn't always the case, but it certainly has been my experiencing in reading hundreds of reviews and ordering lots and lots of things off the internet).
Second, customer service is just plain bad in a lot of companies. There are the exceptions, like NewEgg that have just been wonderful in most cases, but I have to say that even some of the more reputable places have put me in a rotten mood for their poor customer service. Unfortunately, when dealing with some of the "cheaper" vendors, the chance goes up immeasurably. So, I make all purchases now with the understanding that there is every possibility that it will go wrong and I will end up on the phone a number of times screaming at someone who could care less that I've been wronged. Oh well. I could pay the extra money and be happy every time, but I'm poor.
That being said, there is only one thing that I find particularly negative about this vendor, and that is the lack of a clear statement on the homepage that they are not affiliated with Ritz Cameras. The original reason I bought the camera was because I thought if anything went wrong I could bring it back to the store. Imagine my surprise when I found out it wasn't affiliated, something that is found only by trying to locate a store (now, isn't that a bit misleading, to have a store locator for an unaffiliated business??) or by reading some of the return fine type. This is inexcusable in my eyes, and did anger me a bit.
But as I got what I ordered at a fantastic price, I will still give high marks to this vendor.

I placed an order from Ritz Camera on Tuesday and my purchase was delivered on Thursday! No problems at all with this company. I would highly recommend them based on personal experience.

On 01/25/08, I pre-ordered a Sony A200 DSLR with kit lens for $699, the list price. Sony's release date for the A200 was scheduled for the end of February. Late in February, I noticed that the price on the Ritz website had been reduced to $599. I immediately emailed Ritz customer service, requesting that they give me the lowered price. My camera was shipped on 02/27, right on schedule, and I received it the next day!!! My card was charged for the full $699, but several days later, Ritz issued a $100 credit, so I did get it for the lower price.
I am absolutely thrilled with both the camera and Ritz's service. I heartily recommend Ritz Camera and will definitely order from them again.

I've read through a lot of reviews for camera world. They had the speakers I wanted at a lower price. Was skeptical about buying from them because of the huge span of reviews ranging "This place blows hardcore" to "Wow, definately will shop again!"
I took a chance at shopping with them. Bizrate.com rated the store very well. I'm not at all disappointed with my shopping experience. I recieved prompt emails; one auto-reply. I sent an email asking them a question and got a very quick response. Shipping was amazing, ordered thursday morn and they shipped out same day and got my item saturday afternoon. :D I can't tell ya to shop here or not; but I'm definately happy with them and will shop again.
