I sold them a textbook that was in brand new  
condition for $8.09. They sent me $7.32. I requested  
that they send me the correct amount, but they told me that the book arrive damaged. This is impossible because I wrapped the book in 2 plastic bags to keep clean and then put the book in a padded mailer envelope plus put the book in a secure hard cardboard box with more cardboard around the mailer so that the book was tight in the box inside the mailer. They are crooks!  
I give them ZERO STARS and I will never sell nor  
buy anything from Valorebooks!

I placed an order for a book, clearly identified on my order as as http://www.valorebooks.com/Search/ISBN/9780321433329. I instead recieved ISBN# 0321485009.  
 
The edition I received is a "Special International Edition" that the cover clearly states is not for sale in the US. I am in the US.  
 
The only response was that "The book that you ordered on our system shows: ISBN #0321485009." and that I should return the book and be charged a 10% restocking fee.  
 
Valore was not forthcoming with the fact that they are just a web storefront for a number of book sellers until *after* you make the purchase.  
 
My Seller was Bools for Less out of Miami. FL.  
 
The first sign of trouble with any online merchant is not providing a phone number and physical address on the web page under "contact us".

Buyer Beware! I ordered three textbooks through this website. Their site clearly states that "your card will not be charged until the order ships." My debit card was charged for the full amount of the order immediately. Then, one of the books was out of stock, and they cancelled the order for that book. The following day, I was charged the full amount of the order, now a second time. I contacted them, and they claimed there was only one charge on my account, for the two books ordered. After I contacted them, they charged my account again, this time for the two books. There were over $300 in unauthorized charges on my account that Valore Books did not acknowledge. They said if I am still having problems in 5 business days I should e-mail them again. Meanwhile, the funds in my bank account are held up for those $300 unauthorized charges.

I am highly dis-satisfied with my experience. I ordered a book through Valore books. Their seller information shows "ship from" location as a place 4 mile from my place. It has been 10 days and I am still waiting for the book to arrive. Valore book is telling me to wait till Oct 6th before they can do anything. By that time my need for this book will be over :-(  
I would recommend that no-one should buy anybook from this site.

I purchased a book from Valore Books, and Desired books happened to be the seller. The book was described as "New" and the international edition being sold was "word for word" as the U.S. edition. The book I received had yellow highlighting and it was not word for word. Desired books only offered a partial refund,and Valore has put me on "ignore" to assist me in getting the seller to uphold Valore's gurrantee of a full refund due to seller fault. A middle man at least gets involved. What is the point of using a middle man if they do not back up their own gurantees or the enforce the actions of their sellers?

As of January 5, 2007 (one month after order), I still do not have either the merchandise or any hint of refund from the Valore Books organization.  
 
Priority mail was indicated for shipping at the time of the order, and was charged for. An email inquiry on 12/21 received the response that the book was shipped USPS media mail instead of Priority mail, and no tracking info was available. No refund was offered for the difference in cost, not that it matters much when the shipment has not been received.  
 

They had the lowest price on a text book I needed - I was told was in "good" condition. The book shipped quickly and only took 5 days to get to me, but it was not in good condition. This spine was loose and some pages were already almost falling out. I would return to get one in better condition but shipping is not refundable and I can deal.

Well, I've ordered multiple times from here. But the last order was an international book with different contents than the U.S. one. I returned it. End of story.
