I have shopped at ridegear.com several times over the last couple years but my most recent purchase was never shipped to me. I spent $67.49 on a jacket and my credit card was immediately charged but the jacket was never shipped. No e-mail saying it was shipped was ever sent. I contacted their customer service over 40 times in the last 10 months with only 3 responses. They absolutely never answer the phone, it just says to wait and after about 10 minutes instructs you to leave a message but doesn't let you before it hangs up.
I honestly believe this company was doing a good business for many years but something just went wrong and it is evident this is no longer a legit company according to the hundreds of other reviews like mine that are now popping up. We can never trust Ridegear again :(.
In the last 10 months I have gone as far as contacting Ed, the CEO of ridegear who forwarded me to their account manager. Both of these people said it would be easier for them if I were to just file a claim against their company with my credit card issuer to get my money back. The problem with that is after 3 months my credit card company does not allow me to file such a claim. Ed and the account manager have been contacted by the BBB to which they responded for me to be patient as they mailed a money order in the next couple days, which never arrived. After more continued e-mails they again said a money order would be sent, that was my last contact with them over 3 months ago. They no longer respond to my e-mails and still have sent me no jacket, no responses to e-mails/calls, and no refund.
PLEASE CONTACT THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU
If you are in this situation also, please contact the BBB so this company's fraud can be even more publicized.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM...NO MATTER HOW LOW THE PRICES ARE....DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. Just today I finally finished with the horror of this company...It is Sept 3rd! It took that long for the credit card company to make this company stop recharging me for items that they never sent...They no longer answer the phone or email...STAY AWAY...CAVEAT EMPTOR...Let the buyer beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AVOID THIS SELLER. Read the other reviews and believe us. Do not buy anything from ridegear.com. the prices were great and the website looked nice, so i took a gamble and bought a pair of gloves, boots, and a jacket. they sent me an auto-email confirming my order and to expect my purchase to be shipped within 1-4 business days. after a week of waiting, i tried to call to find out their phone number was disconnected. RED FLAG. that's when i read the reviews. i sent an email to check on the status of my order (since i couldn't call them) to get this response:
"It may be a few weeks before we will be able to fulfill your order. Currently we are holding your order."
after another status check:
"It is not available through the vendor and doesnt have an ETA"
WHY ARE THEY SELLING IT IF IT'S NOT AVAILABLE?
i canceled my order through the website and then called my credit card company. fortunately, the cc auth is only good for 10 days and they had not charged my cc. another odd thing was the authorized amount and my invoice total were off by more than $100. BUYER BEWARE!!!! This company will not return calls or money. I returned items, totalling $234.14, which they received May 1st and I have not received a credit on this. I have left message after message and tried everything I know to get them to respond. No dice!!! DO NOT BUY HERE!!!!

As per just about every other reviewer this place is a joke. I ordered an Air Mesh Jacket on May 5th...never receiving anything. 5+ emails and no jacket. Terrible customer service and company, because they do not even deliver the goods

Was ordering a jacket which was showed in stock. Was trying to cancel my order after 2 weeks waiting through many email without any response. Could not get anyone on the phone after three weeks calling, only a busy phone line. Never again. Worst customer support ever seen!!!!!

I placed an order for a very hard to find Icon Tarmac mesh jacket. They told me I should expect it within 1-4 business days. I still have not heard from them with shipping information.
I tried to cancel my order but they only allow cancellations by phone, and of course they don't pick up their phone. There is no question in my mind that this company is a scam. Stay far away.

I purchased Jackets and Socks from Ridegear. they shipped half the order and it took longer than any shipping should ever take. aprrox three weeks.they charged my credit card for all the items.the bottom of the receipt stated that i had a credit on my account.I called the customer order number and they agreed to send another item,in a different size. In May i ordered again attaching my invoice number to show my credit amount. they no longer answer the phones or emails. I ordered a helmet from this scam business. They took the money from my debit card immediatly but that was the last time I heard from them. They will not answer their phone nor Email. They ignored a complaint filed through paypal as well as the BBB. I finally filed a complaint with the California AG office and my money was refunded (a month later)

I placed an order on April 4, 2008... a month later I received no jackets in the mail. I called to cancel my order at the beginning of may and was told that I would have to wait one billing cycle before I would receive my money. Ridegear gave me a date of June 6, 2008 and it's the 17th and I have no money. They won't reply to any emails that I have sent. You call and the lines are never on and if they are working, they never answer. I highly suggest for anyone to stay away from this website. They well keep your money.

One of the worst businesses I have ever dealt with. I have just filed a complaint with the BBB regarding my experience. I placed an order on 4/13/08 which was charged to my credit card on 4/21/08. It is now 5/27/08 and I have yet to receive my order. Also, contacting the company by e-mail yields no results and the phone number just tells you they are dealing with other customers and then hangs up. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!

I ordered a helmet and never received it; although my charge card was debited immediately. I sent many emails to the Cust. Ser. Dept. and I have yet to receive a response. I have also made numerous phone calls, but of course, they are never answered. I would not purchase anything from this company. I have had to file a complaint with the BBB, but am sure I will never see my helmet or get a refund.

They will steal your money! They charge your card but never send the product. They will not answer the phone or respond to emails. If this has happened to you, try this guy....

I live in Italy.
I placed an order at (f...ing)ridegear.com.
Credit card charged but probably items have not been shipped yet.
Almost two months passed and I'm preparing to ask to my bank an investigation regarding the credit card transaction and obtain a refund.
I bought two helmets from those guys 3 years ago and I had no problem.
But now... be aware from those ...ard guys.
