Fradulant advertising on JVC GZ MG505 Digital camcorder. Addvertised 799 for camera and nowhere indicated that it didn't come with a battery or charger. To get those two items had to pay $189 for a battery that JVC charges 149.00 for and Century21 charged $179.00 for the ac adapter that comes with the unit. If that wasn't bad enough they charge $45 for shipping that cost $10 and sent the wrong battery. Instead of the 5 hr. battery they sent the 50 min battery. When I called to have them send the right one, they wouln't until I returned the cheap battery thus rendering the camera useless. I felt hijacked by the company and would rate it as the worst internet experience I have had. Bob Erickson

beware of this seller not everything is included with purchase then charge extra for everything that should be in the box with the item .asked to cancel my order 15 minutes after it was processed and they said there was no way they could cancel i will never buy from these people again

I decided to purchase myself a new SLR camera and ordered the camera from one store and the lens from Prestige Camera. They called me to confirm the order and then offered to match the lower price of their competitor for the Canon 30D camera body. Then the sales rep discussed the extras.  
 
Bernard modified my order over the phone confirming I could get everything I wanted with Prestige Camera and confirmed I would get the same items I requested in a kit. He suggested I buy his gold kit modified for me and save money. He even confirmed it would include a LowePro laptop/camera backpack and the lens I originally wanted from them.  
 
During the order billing process I even call Bernard back and confirmed that I would be getting the 18-200 lens and LowePro backpack. He confirmed I would be getting that. I also asked their billing person Zeo in a fax that was confirmed received that I get a detail list of my order so that I can confirm what was being shipped to me. Bernard later confirmed I would get the invoice within an hour, of which it arrived the next day, after the items were shipped.  
 
The package arrived today and it included the wrong lower grade lens and not the backpack I ordered. I called customer service to complain and ship the items back.  
 
After waiting on hold for 15 minutes, I got to speak to Ron who appeared more of a sales man than Bernard. Ron attempted to exchange and return the lens and offered a discount of $200. Prestige Camera appears to make every effort to bait and switch items to make their profit on re-stocking charges. This was experienced with both the sales man and management of this company.  
 
Ron insisted I was not being fair and reasonable with his offer to make the order right, but after I took each item out of the box and priced it at their competitors, they were over charging me $500.  
 
This is a really bad company to do business with and they like to take advantage of young in-experienced customers.

The entire order is being shipped back with Prestige Camera noting they will charge me the full 10% restocking order though they shipped me items I did not want or order. Their website suggests a re-stocking fee of 5%.

I purchased a Nikon D50 from this store (http://www.century21electronics.com/prodetails.asp?prodid=231981&display=2#)on Thursday May 11th. The next day a member of the staff phoned me up and upsold a warranty and a battery along with the charger. The kit did not come with a battery or charger.  
I did not receive a confirmation e-mail and a week later I sent them an e-mail asking about my order. Still no response.  
I was wary and did some research online and found that the site might be running a scam. The credit card company was contacted and they said they had had no problems with Century21Electronics and to give it another week.  
The order arrived today (Friday May 19th) along with everything it said it would come with (except for the free dvd player they said came with a purchase of a kit).  
Everything seems to be working okay.

Do not do business with this company. When Canon came out with a $100 rebate for the Rebel XT, this store increased the price of the camera by $100 in the invoice but did not list the change on their website. Speaking with the customer rep (who said he was the manager) was like speaking with a shady used-car dealer. He wouldn't give his name or the state they do business in. Stear clear of these guys.

This is not an honorable business. They refused to cancel order 15 minutes after it was placed. They remove included  
accessories from product box and charge extremely high prices.  
They offer product at low prices but will not sell product unless you order accessories from them. Items are gray market. They have other sites under different names but it is the same company with the same business practices.

This company is a SCAM!! Within 5 minutes of placing the order for a camera body, I received a call from their salesman trying to hook me into buying $200+ batteries and $200+ extended warranties. I refused and after the salesman got rude, I asked that the order be cancelled. He told me that there would be a 20% restocking fee, so I told him to just send me the body. He kept trying to sell me the package and eventually said "You've wasted six minutes of my time" and said he would cancel the order. After doing a search of the company online, I promptly cancelled the card I used for the purchase and filed complaints with the NY Attorney General, FTC, and BBB.  
 
STAY AWAY... this is bad news!

Placed an order on-line. The next day, I received an e-mail stating the order would ship in 48 to 72 hours, but to shorten this time, call. I called. Was up-sold on some accessories. As of 2/18, the products still had not shipped. I contacted the office and was told they had no informaiton and to call back on Monday. I tried to get through every day from Monday to Thursday before finally getting a live person (hours are limited to 11a-5p Eastern time and hold times are very long)  
 
The order still had not shipped. I canceled the order.

Check this out. It says they are another name for a company that has loads of bad reviews. If this is true, I'd stay away. Anyone know if the review is correct?

I ordered a SLR camera from this store at a very good price. After I enter the order, I received a e-mail with instructions that I'm going to receive a follow-up call, that in fact I received from a customer representative name Adam. He conformed the order and offered a series of add-ons to me order, whish I refused. I was told that I'll received the camera within two weeks. After two weeks a called and I'm told that the camera is in back order eventhough the web site shows it as in-stock.
