Update to prev. review - The number of lies this company will tell you to get a sale is just mind boggling! After much research I decided on which 50" plasma to get, did a search online to get best price and called this company. During order process they talked me into a different unit. The lies?
Said it was newer - it was older model
Said it was better - it wasn't (too many reasons to list)
Said there would be a $200. rebate - no rebate, turns out rebate was only if store installed the tv for you, tricky to do when they're 1000 miles away.
Said it was a more expensive model - it wasn't, they didn't give the model # at first, after I called back and insisted, it turned out all other retailers had it for $200-300. less and some were throwing in a free Blu-ray player to get them moved out.
After I complained they said they would issue a $200. credit to my card and throw in a "pro kit" worth $500-600. (At first they offered an extended warranty "worth $500.")
The credit never appeared on my card and the "pro kit" consisted of two HDMI cables you can get on amazon for anywhere from 19 cents to $4.99. each. This review was modified by its author, Mr.Matt, on

123buydirect.com provided me with the worst online order experience I have ever gone through and I order a lot of things online. I ATTEMPTED to purchase a Panasonic plasma tv, the 50PZ700U through their website. After I placed my order it took a week before I got an email saying they needed an order verification so I had to call them. When I called in, it was a classic bait and switch and they told me my tv was backordered (even though if you still checked the website, it was still in stock and shipped within 24 hrs) but I could get the next model up, the 50PZ750U for an additional 100 dollars. I normally would immediately say no and cancel whenever I come across these tactics but the offer for the upgrade was pretty good so I agreed. A few days go by and I get an email saying my order went through and I'd get another email with shipment information when it goes out. Funny thing was that I was charged for the TV on my credit card before the TV even went out. I waited almost a week and when I still didn't receive any kind of shipping notice, I called customer service and they told me I would receive the tracking information by the end of the following day. I did end up receiving the shipping info the next night (not for the actual TV but for the HDMI cables that they were "throwing in"). Anyway, the following day the hdmi cables arrived via DHL and later that night a small delivery van came with my TV. I was really excited to finally have my TV delivered but when I checked the invoice the driver gave me to sign, a different TV model was listed (i wish i could say I was surprised at this point). They sent me the 50PZ77U, which goes for about $200 less than the TV I originally ordered. I promptly refused delivery. To add insult to injury, when I called the company the next day to cancel my order, they transfer my call back to the salesman who changed my order, who then denied that he ever told me he was sending the PZ750U and told me if I canceled my order they were going to charge me a restocking fee and the delivery charge. This guy was the most rude and unprofessional person I've ever had to deal with and it basically is now coming down to me having to deal with my credit card company because of the completely unethical business practices of this company. If you don't want to go through a similar experience, I highly recommend you look elsewhere for your online electronic purchases. Even if they list something for the cheapest price, you're much better off paying a little more money and going somewhere reputable, who you can count on to give you good service. On the front page of 123buydirect it says that customer satisfaction is their #1 priority - that is the biggest bunch of bologna I have ever read. Stay away.

These guys are nothing but liars. Yes they sell products cheaper than other retailers, but the service they provide is hideous. They try to sell you newer versions of the product you are ordering come to find out it's the same product! They claimed my order will ship out within 24 hours, but it did not ship out for 2 full weeks. Please stay away from this business.

There is NO DOUBT the positive reviews on this site are completely made up by staff members or friends/relatives. This is the worst online retailer EVER.
Ordered a plasma tv 8/21/07; price was $1296 + $199 shipping (total of $1495, received an invoice for $1495). Website said the product usually ships within 24 hours. Received an email stating we had to call for a confirmation number. We called and were told TV was not in stock; salesguy tried to sell us a lower-quality TV for the same price. We decided to wait 2 weeks for the TV to come in.
For the next month, we called and emailed many times and were always given false info about the status of the order; told several times it had shipped but no tracking # was available. Rude and unprofessional salesguys eventually promised to include free HDMI cables with our order because of the delay.
Our debit card was charged on 9/19/07 - $1695!! Called to ask why $200 extra, were told the price we had was after a mfg mail-in rebate we'd never heard of. Salesguy agreed to credit us $100 right away and send forms for rebate with TV. Got a tracking # on 9/20/07 - called the shipping company, found out they'd received electronic shipping instructions only and would not pick up the TV from 123bd until 9/21, although 123bd had been telling us the TV had shipped on 9/14/07.
TV arrived 9/26, no rebate forms, no HDMI cable, still no $100 credit. Contacted mfg, found that rebate is for installation only, so we don't qualify anyway. These guys lied constantly, wasted a month of our time and ripped us off for $200.

I was very disappointed in my experience with 123buydirect.com.
I ordered a large TV on their web site then called to confirm. No problems. They reviewed my order on the phone and said my TV would be shipped in a couple of days. Over the next week called a couple more times to get shipping confirmation...I got a pretty bad run-around on their phone system bouncing between Sales and Customer Service. Finally after a week the Sales guy admits they don't have the TV in stock and it will be a "couple more days."
I wish they had just told me they didn't have the TV on any of the dozen times I called previously. A complete waste of time.

Another Internet ripoff artist that can't deliver what they advertise. Any business like 123buydirect that claims they need to "talk to you" for security reasons before they will confirm the order only wants to sell you a different product because they don't carry what you ordered. I would bet most of the "positive" responses in this forum are from the owner's family members. SAVE YOUR MONEY! STAY AWAY FROM THESE LOSERS.

Typical NJ scam artist. Lowest price on a 65" plasma, claimed to have it in stock. I called a few days later to check status, salesman said he had to call the factory and call me back, which he never did. Repeated the process again a few days later and finally canceled the order.
I ordered the same TV from visualapex.com, got a great price, and received it 5 days later. Guys even unpacked it and carried it to my living room at no extra charge.
