The service was great. I got a confirmation email of my order. Then, I got notified when my order was shipped and was supplied with a tracking number. I liked the fact that they used paypal. The shipping cost well that could have been cheaper but the item that I ordered was going to be difficult to find at a local store. I will look to them first to buy items that are not as easily accessable at a local store.
Prices were great. Order was correct and delivered in a timely manner. Was able to find things I was having problems locating locally and on the internet.
Autotoys should be commended. Customer service still means something to them. I have shopped around and their prices can't be beaten. They even offer coupons on top of the great savings they already offer. My orders are always processed and shipped promptly. Most recently, their customer service department was helpful in assisting me with getting an item returned, which they said the'd replace. I'll continue to do business with them in the future.
Merchant is either too busy or doesn't really care about the order people made.
Several emails later, only to find out my PIAA bulbs were in backorder. One pair finally arrived after month and a half, but had heavily scratchs on tips in addition of signs of broken side seal (tape.) Returning the refurbish-like bulbs along with pictures as evidence. Merchant didn't bother to compensate the $9 it costed me to return, not even an apology.
With the lengthen time it took and the cost of returning, I'd be better off by buying local. There are e-Merchants go out of their way to make a good impression to gain trust from their new customers, but not this one.

Thank you for your feedback. We do process a lot of orders and once in a while, there may be an service issue. Normally, on returns to exchange defectives, the customer is responsible for shipping to us and we will cover the shipping back. However, we do value you as a customer and I have put back $10.00 into your original form of payment (paypal)
I would love to give a review, but even still as I sit here writing this, I have not received my item. It took 8 days just to process the order and then it is now scheduled to arrive on the 3rd. I guess I will wait and see. I would like to know what takes 8 days to process an internet order.
Not very happy!

There was a mishandling of your order, which is rare, we try to avoid it and we apologize. I have issued a credit of $8.00 to your order of $17.90 which brings your total cost of your order for 2 products to under $10.00 - Your package is to be delivered shortly.
Website was easy to use. Found the item I wanted at a good price. However, the item ordered was not shipped but a substitute item was shipped at a discounted price. I was disappointed at first but accepted the substitute item which is working very well, except that I would have preferred to have the unit with the TV tuner. I would shop with Autotoys again.

I am glad we were able to satisfy your needs. I apologize for the confusion. The TV airwaves will be changing from Analog to DIGITAL TV shortly. For this reason, most car products are no longer incorporating TV tuners because it will become inoperable ~ Feb of next year. Once the conversion to Digital TV is complete, we should see this new standard as a feature of future car monitors.
This was a very simple transaction gone bad due to lack of communication from Autotoys...Below is the content of the last communications with them.
June 13, 2008 (My E-mail to them):
"Hello Again,
I received my order yesterday via UPS. I rec'd the Stinger SHT301 OK but you substituted the requested matching SHT302 with an SHT303...What is going on with you folks...First my original order for the Tsunami terminals never arrived & I never heard from you...I finally contacted you only to find out the manufacturer sent everything back because of problems and with no time frame for getting them again...A simple e-mail to inform me would have been appropriate...I agreed to substitute with your suggestion of the Stinger HPM series SHT301 and matching SHT302 terminals and now I find you have substituted the SHT302 with an SHT303 with no explanation...Your lack of good communication regarding this whole process has been uncalled for...You know as well as I do that if the shoe was on the other foot...etc. etc...Anyway, I would appreciate an explanation as to why you substituted and what the difference in them is, and our next step...Thanks...John Godby"
No response from Autotoys...I sent the message again on 06-17-2008:

Need I say more!...Following their response, I did not pursue the issue further and kept the item...Communication with these folks did not work very well...I went so far as to try locating a telephone number to contact them...of course they have no listed telephone number...It would be difficult for me to place another order with these folks...Thanks & have a fine day...John Godby
