Ordered a TV 2 weeks ago that was supposed to be in stock. Twice I was offered another TV as a
substitute & twice I refused. Each time they claimed the TV I wanted was in stock but would not send it after promising to do so. Finally received a call after numerous e-mails that they did not have the TV I wanted after all. They should have said upfront that they did not have the TV 2 weeks ago. At least I know now & can shop elsewhere.

Buyer beware! Unethical vendor. Advertises products as available until you place your order, then places a charge to your credit card, and tells you the item is out of stock, and they expect to receive a shipment from the manufacturer within a couple of weeks. After a couple of weeks go by, and you recontact them, they tell you that they finally got a shipment in, and it should be delivered within a week to 10 days. Then, on the day of delivery, after you take off from work, and stay at home to meet the truck, you find that they shipped the wrong television from the wrong manufacturer, and you are faced with a “bait and switch”, because when you call them on the spot, they tell you once again that they are out of the TV you are ordered, and you can either take that TV they shipped you (an inferior model), or, continue to wait for the one you ordered and which they promised was in stock and would be able to be shipped immediately. More of the same, over the course of two months. All in all, an unpleasant experience of promises made and not kept, which I would wish on no one. Surely there are better firms than this!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS SELLER. We purchased a TV back in mid-May and they sent us the wrong model. We returned it to them per their instructions and they told us they would ship a replacement out ASAP. A month later, our credit card still showed the charge and there was no update on the order. We contacted them and they, again, confirmed they'd ship the replacement out ASAP. Now it is the middle of July, we've sent three emails in the past two weeks and all are going unanswered, phone calls going unreturned, they still have our money, and we still have no TV. We now need to file a formal complaint with the BBB to help resolve this.

If they have the merchandise, you may be in luck. In my case, they did not have the merchandise I ordered (BDI TV Stand). There was very little communication, if any, about what was to happen next with the order they could not fill. These people just don't care. I even sent a letter to the CEO of the company, & still no response. My advice is, to order from someone else, or...........proceed with caution. Also, they will charge your credit card for the item immediately, whether you've received it or not. So, you've been warned......good luck!

I would definitely AVOID this merchant! Ordered a PN50B650 that said "newly arrived"; Called Fred on 4/24 "we expect to ship on Monday or Tuesday next week" 4/28 "We have an inventory error on this model". Website price goes up but no indication that an "inventory error" is going on; infact the website says "usually ships within 24 hours" 4/29 "I'll keep in contact with you" after offering minimal price reduction. 5/5 "We plan to ship these by midweek" Website still indicates nothing with regards to availability still "ships within 24 hours" 5/13 "Remember me Fred?" No response 5/18 "I want my money back; now" 5/22 Refund finally shows up. Just about one full month; some places do identify backorders; and they don't charge you credit card until it is shipped. The whole time there was no indication of back order or "inventory problem" I seriously question the positive feedbacks done here. The home theater store was not up front with me or any other customers for the same item. Worse yet they ignored me for weeks at a time. BE AWARE OF THIS MERCHANT!

I went on-line to their store at hometheaterstore.com and purchased a Samsung LN46A860 on February 9, 2009 for an advertised price of $1599 to later find out the vendor indicated no stock available. However, the website has the exact same item posted for $1799 the next day after alleging no stock. If the item is no longer available the dealer should not misrepresent the facts. The company engages in false advertising, buyer beware.

Despite verbal and email assurances from various company employees, it has been almost a year now and the Home Theater Store has failed to provide the extended warranty I purchased from them along with an LCD TV. Nor have they offered a refund.

Started out very bad experience, but Home theater Store was able to turn around. Purchased Sony KDL52XBR7. Initially card was charged and no shipment made. Could not contact by phone or email. No return call or email. After 2 weeks had to have chageback thru credit card. Then got call from Bobby Wooley apologizing for performance and offering to either ship TV or cancel order. I agreed to go forward and TV was received in 3 working days. Good condition and very happy with TV. If you use Home Theater, call and ask for Bobby. Do not rely strictly on Web. I ordered a SharpLC65SE94U 65" AQUOS LCD, almost $5000 USD. Before I ordered I sent an email to verify availablility. Within hours I rec'd a response that is would be in stock in 3 days/shipped in 3/4 days. I got a call from a nice guy (Fred)promising shipment. It took a series of emails and phone calls to verify shipment (awaiting a shipment from Sharp) but about 3 weeks later, I had a delivery from Texas on Fedex Freight. Other than the lag time between order placement and delivery I am very happy with the TV and this store's service, plus I have a USA Sharp Warrantee. I am a happy camper. I placed an order for a 52" XBR4 from their website on Saturday, March 8th. Consistent with the reviews I read on this site and others, customer support is difficult to get a hold of via email or phone (they are unavailable on weekends). I was able to get in direct contact with an individual in customer support late Monday and again on Tuesday and was informed that the television was not in stock and that they should be receiving a delivery in the next day or so.
The tv ended up shipping close to a week from when I placed the order and arrived 10 days following the purchase date. The tv arrived in good working condition. The shipping service they use only permits them to leave the box in the front of the building. You can work something out with the delivery service to bring the box into your home. At first I was doubtful with the 2.5/10 rating of HomeTheaterstores.com. I purchased a sony 46' 1080p 120hz TV for $955 (most other store has it for $1300), courtesy of Slickdeals.net. They shipped as promised from R&L shipping, and it arrived new. I am very happy.

Ordered a 54" Panasonic on Sunday. Was told it was not in stock, but should be available on Tuesday. TV shipped Tuesday and was in my living room on Friday. Excellent service & best price around. No hassles - would highly recommend.

I was very pleased with the speed in which my order was filled and shipped. I purchased a Sony 52" XBR6 television, and the price was quite a bit better than I could find elsewhere. Also, when I did have a question when I was looking for a tracking number for my shipment, I was contacted quickly by Fred who was very helpful and courteous. I would gladly do business with hometheaterstore.com again.

After extensive online searching and a couple phone conversations with FRED I placed my order at 4 pm DEC. 12 For a SONY KDL 46XBR6 HDTV. Fred shipped by FedEx ground on monday the 15th. Arrived at my door at 3:30 friday double boxed and in great condition. I am very satisfied.

Excellent seller. Bought the 52" XBR5 for my bedroom and received it very quickly. The order went through right away. I didnt get any phone calls tellin me to upgrade like you find in other scam sites. The TV came in perfect condition. Will definitely by my living room TV from them next month.
