I am quite happy with my purchase. ordered the projector clock over the phone. it arrived promptly and i paid a great price. Negative: free shipping and then charging 3 bucks for handling is a bit deceptive.

No problems here, even though I had heard some unfavorable things about this company at various websites. Ordered on Tuesday, package arrived Friday. Carefully check all the boxes before finalizing order and you will get the advertised price.

I've had nothing but, a wonderful experience shopping from Heartland America. I ordered a portable oscillating ceramic heater it has worked great. I've had no disappointments from them. Also, their Internet customer service is wonderful and I wouldn't mind dealing with them again.

I have nothing but good things to say about Heartland America. I've been doing business with them for at least five years and never had a problem. You have to be careful when checking out and uncheck where it says you want to joing the club, if you do not want to. Also make sure to get the coupon number from the catalog and write it on the space provided,if they are offering no shipping charge, otherwise you'll get charge for shipping. The prices at this store are very reasonable and shipping is fast.

This was my first order with Heartland America. Fast shipping and fast delivery via FedEx. The shipping charges were reasonable for this order. I ordered the Anders Nicholson Hi-Fi Stereo, the Tiffany Style Butterfly Lamp, and the Bowie Knife. All items arrived in good condition. I am very satisfied with this purchase from Heartland America. I plan on ordering from them again, if they offer something that I need or want. As with any other online vendor, a consumer needs to shop carefully when dealing with Heartland America.

ordered online, but no tracking showed up. Called on phone, then order made, but still didn't show on computer. Order actually arrived and Heartland couldn't tell me if the order was made!! GREAT product and price/ better than ebay--just research first on the web//they go for the lowest price refurbished remainder stuff// not the latest or best, but definitely the cheapest.

I bought a shortwave radio from there and it great shipping. When I got it home. Popped the included batteries from the 96 pack. I tested the receiver out and the reception compared to my S350 DL at RS the AM reception was kinda average on 530 kHz and did not tune below 525 kHz to 519 kHz like other one I have. Anyways the radio performed ok.

Ordered a humidifier from them. Shipping was a little slow, but I got the item I was expecting. No issues with the ordering process or product itself.
Couple of negatives is that they aggressively send e-mail advertisements almost daily. I've gotten annoyed enough to opt-out today...hopefully they respect the request. They also charge some type of "order/handling fee" which is a bit unusual. They do state it before you checkout, but it does add to th cost of the item and it's a little misleading to hit you with it at the end.

Most recent purchase was Memorex "Scannocular" which arrived in good condition in timely manner. This item also appeared on the web site at a higher price with NO rebate; had to be careful to order the correct item number.
Previously purchased leather jacket and "Atomic time" wall clock, both with timely delivery.
Rebate certificate for clock had to be ordered separtely; on current order, rebate certificate was available on web site (as noted on invoice). Company seems to discourage cash rebates, but delivers a check if you jump through all the hoops. Have not had to return any items or contact customer service (except to inquire about rebaste details on the clock order).

I purchased a "sale item" at $12.98, and used a coupon to get some discount. Final cost is $5.98, and I made a screen capture. As soon as I clicked "submit", the final cost suddenly changed to $21.93 retail price, and they attempted to charge my card at that price. (I used virtual card with limited credit of $6, so the charge was not successful.)
I sent them my screen capture, but my email was not responded, instead, they sent me email asking for another credit card. I called in, and the service rep was quite rude. I told him I can email or fax in my screen capture, but was declined, saying he has no access to internet or fax. In the end, he agrees to cancel my order.
After I sent an email to complain, a customer service rep (Mr. Kutz) got back to me right away (in an hour!). He's nice and helpful, and offered to adjust the price for me.
My advice is: On this site, use virtual card with limit credit if you have one. Email customer service directly from their website if you have issues. This review was modified by its author, raymondshih, on

I was looking to buy a Uniden corded phone that came with a cordless phone. I saw that Heartland America had the cheapest price. WAY cheaper. I did some research on the internet about them since I had never ordered from them and I saw they give their "rebates" in the form of credit on future orders. I figured I would take advantage of that on a pair of boots my husband wanted so I was ok with that rebate thing as long as I knew ahead of time. I read the ad for the phone thoroughly. Nowhere in the ad did I see the word refurbished. Today I received the phone and what do you know, it's refurbished. I went back to the ad to double check. Nowhere does the ad say refurbished, but it does say "Factory serviced to meet original quality standards." I have never come across this trick before....so keep your eyes out for this if you order from this company. IT MEANS REFURBISHED PRODUCT. Shipping time was very reasonable. I was just not happy with receiving refurbished merchandise. I could probably return this, but something tells me I will have to pay to ship it back and then a restocking fee. If you want to see this phone for yourself, it is the model cxai5198 on their site.

A leather bomber jacket was ordered from the back cover of Heartland America's February 2006 catalog.
I specified XL Item No. D2-5688. The jacket arrived in a timely manner and in good condition. It appears to be of good quality and is heavy.
However, the jacket fits a little more snugly than I prefer. When I buy the XL size in other clothing, the garment fits rather loosely, in a manner that I prefer.
However, on the invoice sent with the jacket is the statement: @@@@ **SIZES RUN SMALL**. If I had known this when I placed the order, I would have ordered one larger size, 2XL Item No. D2-5689.
Because of this experience, I probably will not order from this seller in the future. I would wonder what important information the seller may not be providing in the ad. It would have been appropriate for the jacket ad to mention that sizes run small.

I bought a atomic clock, I doesnt update, it defeats the whole feature of the clock, its just a regular clock. I recieved my clock in a refrigerate immediately box, I thoguht maybe someone in the family had sent some meat, I put it in the freezer. I contacted them and they said that my clock will come in a different box than my weather station ( anohter thing I bought from them). I eventualy found out that my clock was sitting in the freezer, in the 100% beef patties box. Once I put the batteries in the clock i tried to update but it did'nt work, my weather station did'nt work either. The instructions that you get with the products is about a pargraph of information on how to use it. IT HAS NO TECH SUPPORT NUMBER FOR ANY PRODUCTS.

The worst customer support I've ever encountered. Order processing time takes forever, no tracking number on ground shipping. I placed an order on June 19, after 10 days it hadn't shipped. Called like 4 times only to be told the order is in process. On July 2nd their web site was updated, stating the order was shipped. After 2 weeks, July 16 the order still not arrived, I called them. Talked to two operators that would keep claiming the order was shipped. Finally I talked to a customer service representative only to be told that the order had never shipped because an item was out of stock! But they charged my credit card and never bothered to let me know.
I had problems with the first order but I gave them the benefit of the doubt, not anymore.
The only good part is that prices are fairly good, especially if you're an elite member, you take 10%.

I have been with this club as a valued member, yeah value for them not me, since many years now.
I recently purchased a pair of shoes, ok, everything was ok, but I notice that less then a month later the shoes are reduced in there catalog, i call for a refund. Well quess what I missed the 60 days by 15 days, so no refund.
Ok, then couldn't they give me a break, as a valued member, no, so I then asked to cancel my membership, well sure, but wouldn't you know I saved so much on my items, as a valued member, and I did spend a lot of money, they said that my cancellation refund on the remaining 7 months or so could not be refunded as it was covered on the savings I had made from being a "valued" member. LoL, you got to be joking Heartlessland.
So much for being valued? i wrote them an email explaining that I will now save a lot more money searching on-line, and at other walk in stores.
Thanks, but no thanks, and you should avoid too.
