I was looking to buy a VTech phone system, and on-line research indicated 101phones.com had the best price. Several stores were very close in price and provided free shipping. Amazon.com's price was only a few dollars more. But sometimes purchases from Amazon take a long time to arrive at my doorstep, so I decided to give 101phones.com a try. Their website promises to get the phone to you in 3-5 business days. The phone system arrived the next day. I was and am extremely satisfied with their service.
This is my second time ordering from 101phones. Prices are competitive, yet they also manage to offer free ground shipping which is great. Got my order within a few days, and most importantly it was everything that i had ordered. Definately will buy again.
Placed order for a Siemens Gigaset 8825 on 1/15, and instantly received an email confirmation from the company. Received a shipping confirmation the next day, and it arrived at my doorstep the next day. The price was great, one of the lowest I could find, and the transaction was smooth. And free shipping to boot! I'd shop with them again.

After seeing they were in NY i got nervous. the phones arrived in 24 hours. needless to say i was shocked and very pleased. all Ecom should be this good.
I ordered a refurbished Panasonic cordless phone with 3 handsets. After I charged the units for 10 hours I noticed that all 3 units only held the charge for a day and a half, not the 11 days the manual stated that I should expect. I called Panasonic but they were not of any help. I called 101 Phones and they agreed to accept the phones back and replace them with another set. I had to pay the shipping back to 101 Phones. The new units arrived within a reasonable time after the defective ones were returned, and they appear to be working properly. It would have been nice if the original shipment worked properly, but I can’t blame 101 Phones for the problem.
Just bought a "factory serviced" V-tech phone from these guys, and it doesn't work. Given the reviews I've read about this company, and that the phone was $35.99 including shipping, I've decided to just cut my losses and not risk being charged shipping to return the item, or to risk them not giving me a full credit due to the fact that the tape on the box got ripped when I opened it. The first thing that seems fishy to me is that there are "absolutely no refunds on factory serviced phones," meaning they can just send out phones that don't work, and then you're forced to spend the money with them to get a different phone. I have never come across a company on-line that doesn't guarantee a refund if they send you a defective product, so it didn't even dawn on me to check this company out first. And, it is clear on the return form which I printed out that they find every excuse in the book not to credit you the full amount - i.e. if the tape on the box is torn (don't you have to tear the tape to open the box???) Even though it's a shame that these guys are probably getting away with ripping lots of people off, I don't think it's worth my time to fight for $35.99 and all the hassle that this will surely entail. Next time I order anything on-line, I will thoroughly check the company out first. Lesson learned.
this company is nothing but a scam. the Vtech ia 5847-R arrived and nothing worked, not even the battery. we immediately went back to the website and printed the return instructions and were truly astonished. basically, anything was a reason for them not to fully return the purchase price, including tape on the box! we were outraged and shocked because returns are the best thing about shopping on the net! i literally called the customer service number repeatedly for over an hour and all i got was someone picking up the phone and laying it down, on the desk, without speaking. i could hear their conversations and even identified their brooklyn accent. it sounded like 5 guys sitting around their living room with 20 cell phones and all they did was pick them up and lay them down. so i called amazon (where we found the link) and told them the story and was informed we had indeed been scammed and to cancel our credit card that nite. but my question to amazon is, why would you sell a sponsered link ad to thieves? our bank is disputing the charge and we are just hoping it works and enough ppl see these stories and protect their money and their financial info from thugs like 101phones.com.
just to be clear, on the packing slip there is the number above and also a shipment # as well, and it is 494235.
101 phones is a scam. Sent me a phone w/ headset which did not work and then did not refund me the whole amt I paid. THey are making money off of sending products that are defective. They should be investigated.
rip off they made a mistake shipping me the wrong item after i was exact in my order and made them confirm they had the product-- they shipped the wrong product (never had the rught one) and forced me to pay the return costs to get credit
Beware of this company! Do not buy from them! I ordered a phone. they charged me. its suppose to be same day shipping. what a bunch of crock. i email them to ask where my order is. then i find out its on BACKORDER for 2 weeks. I dont think they actually have the products on hand though they should inform you of this when you purchase. 10 days later,I email again to ask and they send me the SAME EMAIL saying another 2 weeks. I call and email and now I just want to cancel my order and get a full refund. No response. I think they just took my money and ran. These people should be reported.
Do not do business with 101 phones if you need items to come in a stated time frame, or if you order more than one item! If you order more than one item, you cannot trust that you will actually receive all of your items. They have no way of knowing when their warehouses send out only part of an order. They are totally incompetent.
If there is a problem (which is very likely), you have to spent 30 minutes on hold each time you call them, and the person you speak to will know nothing.
I placed order on August 7 and called 101Phones within 60 minutes of order placement and asked them to cancel the order. They refused, claiming it had already shipped. The order did not ship until the next day and the day after (2 different shipments of one order.) Then their Customer Service department told me if I returned the phones I would get a full refund. I did not get a full refund, they shorted me $12 on a $93 order. Do not buy any product from this company, they are not truthful and unethical.
I wish I had looked at this site before I bought. This is not a store, just clerks taking orders for multiple companies. The clerk didn't know a cordless phone from a cellphone and insisted OnlinePhone Store had no affiliation with 101phones. Last fall I had trouble with Panasonic, now AT&T. AT&t is computer only, no humans, and when I called the 'store' I got a clerk with minimal IQ. I wish Amazon sold more phones. Despite the price phones appear to be disposable. After 6 months AT&T wants both bases, both handsets and all accessories in the original box. Only one handset is defective; I'll lose all programming and hope my old phone is in the storeroom. These 'merchants' are a joke and couldn't care less about problems.
