Ordered Bitdefender Antivirus download -felt assured with their printed return policy that if it didn't work out, they would take care of me. WRONG! The program was not compatible with my computer operating system and I sent them an email immediately (within an hour of purchase) telling them it wasn't going to work and that I wanted a refund. They told me very curtly I would have to go through Bitdefender's tech support and get an email from them saying the software wouldn't work.
In the end, I did finally get it to work, but quickly realized what shysters I was dealing with. Then, I did what I should have done before ordering -check the reviews -and realize just who I was dealing with.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. THEY ONLY WANT YOUR $$$$$$ -A VERY SAD BUSINESS ATTITUDE.

A very bad experience. The DVD-Clone software I purchased was one release back (IV vs V). It did not work, the backup DVD would not play. I contacted DVD-Clone support and received weak, or virtually non-existant support. I contacted Herman Street to return the product and get a refund. They refused. I now have software I paid for and it has no value. Avoid Herman Street and DVD-Clone at all costs!

Herman Street refuses to be proactive in correcting their mistakes in sending me the wrong product. Instead, they insult me and expect me to go to a lot of trouble to correct their mistakes. Don't deal with this company!!!!

I am so disappointed with this company. I should have check their reviews first before purchasing from this company. The support guy named Scott Wimmer is useless. I mean the guy doesn't even bother to inform you regarding your shipping schedule. You have to even asked for it. Secondly, he starts ignoring your mails when you start complaining. I really hope that the american government should start investigating this company Herman Street. I think this is a scam company. They are fooling people. They should be closed for business. Shame on you Herman Street.

I purchased and received Power2Go software in a timely manner but when attempting to load it, the CD Key that they provided failed to work. For over a month (and 6 new CD Keys that they sent to correct the problem), I have tried to get this thing to load. I finally told them to send me a new CD or refund my money. They send me another new CD Key and tell me that should fix the problem. I am convinced that they have some monkey just typing in CD Key numbers and sending them my way. THIS PLACE IS A RIP OFF! By the way, anyone want to buy an unused copy of Power2Go?

I made the mistake or ordering from this company. I placed my order, which was to be an anniversary present for my parents, on June 14, 2007. My order has not been filled as yet and they are not very good at letting the customers know the status of their orders. I sent several e-mails and called their number numerous times before I got any information. I was told that they had oversold their stock and they were waiting for replacement stock. Mind you no-one contacted me to let me know this. I was only told this on June 27, 2007, almost two weeks since I placed the order. I was told that they were expecting to receive the stock for my order either that day or the next. Thursday, June 28, came and went with no word. At the end of the day I sent them another e-mail asking for an update on the status of my order. I still have not received the order. Either this is a scam company, or they have the poorest customer service that I have ever experienced. I won't buy from them again. 7-3-07 Yesterday I cancelled the order because they still did not have the stock. When I went home that night my credit card statement had come in and, even though they still had not sent my order, they charged my credit card. This is a very bad company. Please stay clear of them. They may seem to have good prices, but it's not good if you never get the product. This review was modified by its author, badgersmom, on

DO NOT BUY THINGS THROUGH THIS COMPANY unless you want to get ripped off or have virtually no customer support.
I ordered DVD cloner 4 after emailing DVD Cloner 4's support and asked some specific questions about its ability (that were beyond what was advertised). I was assured that it could do everything I was enquiring about. I bought it through Herman Street. I downloaded it, and DVD Cloner 4 did NOT do what I wanted it to do. I contacted Herman Street to inform them of this problem and ask for a refund. One week later, I haven't heard anything. My credit card company is willing to start the procedure of disputing the charge.
After reading the reviews below, it makes sense why they haven't emailed back and why I can't get through on their phone number.

KEEP AWAY from this company. I ordered express mail and the item did not arrive on time. Nobody to contact-no answer on the sales line. I left 6 phone messages and sent four emails. NOTHING was replied to. Upon investigation, there are over 40 BBB complaints against Herman Street. HERMAN should be shot!!! Or at least put out of business by the authorities!!!

Thank you for your business. Yea right, they should've written, Thank you for your money, because that's all we're interested in.
Ordered software, Home Design Architectural Series 18110042 at $119.99.
You call and call but they seem to be stealing from so many other poor saps that they don't have time to answer your call.
Obviously they haven't sent me anything, and at this point I really don't expect them to send it.
This is my first "bad" experience ordering on the net, and it's probably going to be my last.
If anyone knows a number to reach them, please email me with it.
atingler@rfmd.com
Thanks,
Allen

I purchased CyberLink's Power Director Premium video editing software for my wife.
After two months she decided she wouldn't use it. The product was still in the original package, unopened and unscratched.
I tried to return it and they said the Return Policy is 30 days from purchase.
Nowhere in the purchase process is the return deadline stated. The product came in a box with only a packing slip, no return info or return labels.
After various unsuccessful requests, their last answer was that their return policy is accessible by clicking at the Help button and choosing Return Policy from the options.
My points are:
- Herman Street should show their return policy openly, not hidden under a Help button, or they should include a couple of printed lines in the packing slip. It would cost them nothing.
- The product was still being promoted by Herman Street at the time of my request, so my return wouldn't cause them any slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
- Evidently, Herman Street is only interested in pure selling, not in helping their customers. Placing the Return Policy where the customer will not see it until it's too late it's proof of it. Not fair.

I ordered three items but somehow powerdirector 5.0 $89.95 appeared in my cart. I don't recall seeing the cat until after I hit confirm to close out the cart. I called the customer service number immediately to tell them I do not want the item. I also emailed them twice. It was after hours, they were closed. This morning I called their customer service and was told the item had already shipped. This appears to be a scamming company with NO customer service. If the company is publicly traded on a stock exchange I will short it to ZERO because that is where it is going when it behaves like this. When looking at their web site, I later noticed other items appearing in my cart that I did not select. Now I have to send the item back and hope for a refund. I will also dispute the charge with my credit card co as soon as it appears on my statement.

Beware of HermanStreet.com - it's a scam. I was "lured" to it by
its affiliate site, www.TopTenREVIEWS.com, which (unfortunately)
is quite good.
I was unlucky enough to purchase merchandise from
HermanStreet.com. They have charged my credit card but 30 days
later I still did not get the product I paid for.
It has been very difficult to contact HermanStreet.com customer
service: no phone, just rarely answered e-mail. And when they finally
responded they promised to ship the product the next day (did not)
and then again (did not), and again. Yesterday, they gave me the tracking
number for my order so, I guess, they may have shipped it but I'll
believe them when I actually get it.
What was actually the problem? Well, according to HermanStreet.com
customer service, "With the item you purchased we had an inventory
level mistake. Basically our inventory was off and we sold more
than what we had." And this is in today's day and age from seemingly
legitimate company that sells products on Yahoo and eBay with 97.9%
positive feedback (yeah, right! Those ratings must be another scam.)
And it looks like I am not the only one.
So, please beware of HermanStreet.com – it is a scam.

***PLease see update at bottom***
I ordered DVD Copier III from this company and at first was very happy. Great price, and they sent the activation code in a timely manner.
Unfortunately, since then, my email was hacked and erased and I did not keep a copy of the email. The software updated and requires the activation code, of which was erased with my email.
I have emailed customer service once a week for the last 4 weeks and have yet to receive a response.
Update 1/22 - 2 days after posting this, I received an email with my activation code, so I am back in business. Though a bit slow, you get what you pay for.... I got the software half price and had to wait a while for customer service... This review was modified by its author, thutch01, on
