I was very pleased with th fact that they promptly gave me a refund. I had not carefully read their instructions and ordered a product that was not compatible with my system. Rather than giving me atime because it WAS MY ERROR, they sent a refund.

I am pleased that the company was very fast to respond to my problem, which was incompatibility between my hardware and the company's software. Customer Support Dept. personnel courteously and graciously requested a refund for it, no questions asked. I will definitely purchase from this company again. Thanks!

I purchased an anti virus program on line from this company. It would not work properly and I had to un-install it. I thought I would have a problem getting a refund as it was done on line. The people at Herman St. were very helpful and prompt in processing my refund. I diffently do business with them agan.

I ordered some DVD's and software from HermanStreet. Very fast delivery and the pricing was the lowest I found. Will definitely purchase again from them. They where lower priced that Amazon.com.

I unfortunattely (or fortunately) visited reseller ratings after I purchased a DVD from this store so i was a bit worried and I vowed to leave a good review if I was satisfied. so here, I registered so I can say that I had a positive expirience buying from this store. Although all I bought was a DVD of unextended Lord Of the Rings:The two Towers for <6 the shipping was fast and packing was good and there wasn't any billing problems.

I ordered DVD Copier III from this company and at first was very happy. Great price, and they sent the activation code in a timely manner.
Unfortunately, since then, my email was hacked and erased and I did not keep a copy of the email. The software updated and requires the activation code, of which was erased with my email.
I have emailed customer service once a week for the last 4 weeks and have yet to receive a response.
Update 1/22 - 2 days after posting this, I received an email with my activation code, so I am back in business. Though a bit slow, you get what you pay for.... I got the software half price and had to wait a while for customer service... This review was modified by its author, thutch01, on

For here and now, I bought PowerDirector 7 Deluxe for $62.91 which included a download and a disk sent to a US address.
Less than two months later, PowerDirector 8 Deluxe became available, the cost $69.95 at HermanStreet.com, with no apparent lower UPGRADE COST as with almost all other reputable companies. After three letters and two responses from HermanStreet Com, they told me to write to the factory that produces the software, not them.
Their level of "service" is unconscionable. Rather, it cannot be called "service" at all. My recommendation: Avoid HermanStreet.com. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SITE!!!! (READ BELOW!!!)
Now that i have your attention i can save you! Last month i needed some new video editing software, now I'm new to the purchasing online and i do not recommend it!, but if you have to be careful!
I looked up what i needed and found Herman street. I really should have looked at their reputation because it sucks! They seemed nice and put together so i bought their powerdirector. The download took a while, but that is to be expected with my downloading speed!
When i went to open it, it said their was an error and i needed to download it again, i did so but it just kept saying their was an error. i contacted them.
Their technical support is EXTREMLY cranky and seems like their is one girl by a computer listening to music waiting to give someone a piece of her mind! they were so unorganized and very unprofessional. I expected a professional looking email giving instructions. Hers was something like this:
I'm sorry but i don't know what your talking about, if you are unhappy with your purchase please tell us if you want a refund.
They didn't give me any tips, just back talk! i immediately demanded a refund and after almost a half a month, i got it! their return policy is only one month, so i am very annoyed i almost didn't get it!
Now, after i got my refund i still wanted my software, so i purchased from another site, but i couldn't install anything because power director from Herman street was still on my computer and couldn't come off! Their was an error somewhere and it wouldn't come off( i tried everything!) i contacted Herman street telling them i couldn't get the software off and this is exactly what they said back:
I have no idea what you’re talking about, but if my guess is right, then you need to get a refund from someone else. I have never heard of this before either. If you need technical support you will need to contact the manufacturer of whatever software you are talking about. If you ordered from us and we cancelled and refunded your order then none of our products should be on your computer anyways.

Honest to god!!!!!! have a nice day my ass! what a snob. i will never purchase from them again and i have written them emails saying that i will let everyone know how bad they are! Do not buy from this company, they can barley be called a company!

I purchased BifDefender Antivirus 2009 from a comparison page of virus programs and found that I was directed to Herman St. page. It gave me another 20% saving. So, I purchased above mentioned software at 19,96 USD, and was charched immediately.
I received an e-mail from Herman St. but the license code was not accepted by BitDefender.
Soon after installation my PC crashed totally.
I have not received any refund from Herman St.

DON'T PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS. Purchased BitDefender Antivirus from them on 7/30. After 8 days of my computer freezing up, and BitDefender shutting itself off I contacted BitDefender they told me to uninstall and reinstall the software, in the next few weeks I had to do this 4 times. I decided to cancel the subscription and ask for a refund and they refused to refund my payment.I was a few days past their 30 return policy.

I was supposed to get a back up disc with my order. Paid extra $5 for the disc, NEVER GOT IT. Called customer service left a message but never got a call back. I will file complaint with my credit card company to dispute charge. If enough people who got ripped off by Herman Street contact their credit card company, their bank may want to close their account.

Herman Street never shipped the CD I ordered January 3, 2008. It was "back ordered". After 2 weeks I ordered it from Circuit City, no problem. Herman St. assured me I would see my refund on my credit cards within a couple of statemnets.Five months later: no refund, no call back, no email communication. They got me ONCE! I order the 5 cloner dvd for $48.99 and received an email from Herman Street confirming my order and stating that it would be mailed in 2 buisness days. As soon as I placed the order the money was taken out of my bank account. It has been 2 weeks and I still have not recieved my order. I have emailed them several times and still have not recieved a response. The money has now been credited to my account so thank god i did not lose any money. But disappointing though because i have to purchase it again form another source. They never returned my emails or calls. Please Please stay away from this company.

Ordered Bit Defender, never recieved email with download data or codes. after 10 days futile emails with no joy, ordered BD from another source (very promp, had in installed within 20 minutes). Herman street refuse to give a refund! This company are useless DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM.
I Never Will Again.
