This was the most APPALLING online purchase experience I have ever had. First, my order shipped two days late, and they claimed it was because of an address verification (they called to verify and it took about 60 seconds tops-it should not have delayed my ship date) THEN When I finally receive my order on Oct 29, THREE DAYS AFTER the date it was supposed to arrive (admittedly a FEDEX error) the items are not what I ordered. I requested Taiyo Yuden Silver WATERPROOF. What is in the box might be Taiyo Yuden, but they are a SHINY silver, and they can't be printed on-I tried.  
 
Tapeonline REFUSED to refund my shipping fees even though FedEx agreed to a refund for the errors.  
 
I will never ever order from this company again, and you shouldn't either.

We are very sorry this shopper did not have a pleasant shopping experience, but we tried numerous times to accommodate her. First, she selected ground shipping. We cannot guarantee delivery dates on FedEx ground shipping. Secondly, we did want to verify her shipping address because her shipping address did not match her billing address. Therefore, in order to protect the shopper, we wanted to verify that she had in fact placed the order. Thirdly, the Taiyo Yuden WaterShield discs are a new item in our store. They aren't like traditional waterproof discs - but they are in fact, shiny and silver. We are positive she received the correct discs and we offered to send this customer another new spindle of the shiny silver WaterShield discs (free of charge) and she does not want them. BUT, because we want to make this right, we are sending her another spindle free of charge anyways. We have asked numerous times if there is anything we can do to make her happy. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do. But, TapeOnline did in fact try. It is important to us to make sure our customers are happy and pleased and we take customer service issues like this very seriously! We sincerely apologize to this customer and are sorry she didn't have a better experience with TapeOnline.

The most disappointing part of their website is that if an order is placed too late on Friday for them to process it- there is nothing on their site that flags your invoice or order to tell you that. No phone call to tell me the order didn't go out on time and their office is closed on weekends. I paid for rush delivery and got my order late. I had to purchase tapes from another vendor so I could make my video shoot on time.

My experience was as usual, no problems with the web-site or finding items that I need. The only thing that I don't like is the missing human element. I like people and like many if I need to talk about something in regards to the order, (example: which CD-R's and DVD-R's do not work with Sony record decks?) I have to put in a call to the sales rep who might be out on a run and/or unavailable at the time.

This is my third order with TapeOnline.com they are fast and reliable. On my last order they were short on stock and called to discuss my options, which I appreciate. Prices are fair as well, and they seem to have everything I need.

MAKES UP FOR ERRORS

1st mix up after 1.5 years  
of shopping.  
 
I ordered 200 DVD cases recently;  
good thing didn't need them right away.  
 
NOT GOOD  
-product out of stock  
-received wrong product (200 CD cases instead)  
-delay in sending correct product  
-finally received correct product 40 days after ordering  
 
GOOD  
-called to say product out of stock  
-verbal apology for sending wrong product  
-verbal apology for delay in sending correct product  
-got to keep wrong product  
-hand written apology + $5 Starbucks gift card!  
-called AGAIN to make sure correct product was received!  
 
-got to talk to a friendly human to resolve issues  
-they offer FedEx Ground shipping to Hawaii  
(comes by air, space available, cheaper than 2nd Day)  
 
Best service I've received in a long time.  
Will order again from TapeOnline!

Hmm, let's see. I login to the super-convenient(not to mention excellent design) website, duplicate a previous order w/ one click, modify here & there, & click purchase--done. Phone rings not even 5 minutes later to inform me that "my order requires shipment from two locations & it could take an extra day?"--no problem, thanks real human-being Tim! Said large order arrives over the next TWO days via FedEx even though I certainly didn't pay for 2-day shipping. Time & time again I am impressed w/ Tapeonline.com . Why can't all my vendors have a state-of-art website, over-delivering staff, & great products? THANKS AGAIN GUYS.

Unbelievably fast delivery. I paid for basic shipping and received the order in 1-2 days (I can't remember anymore which it was -- I just remember being surprised at how soon I got it. And the candy was a sweet touch.  
 
The price for the labels was excellent. I pay more for common Avery labels at an office store.

I recently ordered some miniDV media that I needed asap. Before placing this order I called in to verify that the order would ship that same day. I chose to purchase from TapeOnline because you had a real phone number with a real person answering it. Many other online sources seem to have nothing but an email address for what they call "customer service".  
 
I spoke with Lauren V, who was very helpful and courteous. She answered all of my questions quickly and had access to all of the information I needed. She's a great example of what customer service should be like, especially in the online marketplace.  
 
I received the product today, and everything is just as expected. I won't even bother to shop around next time to see if anybody else is selling media for a few cents less.
