Several things I would like to share and I hope you're reading this before actually ordering. Pay attention to the posted complaints at NexTag and also note that by MyTaxFee's own admittance, this company lacks quality assurance. It took six weeks to receive my product but without an invoice or the warranty without requesting it.
(1. MyTaxFree.com might advertise low prices but you'll also find them just as low elsewhere.
(2. Do not purchase their warranted packages since you'll find the same coverage several hundred dollars cheaper and by reputable companies. No where do they give information up front with whom the extended warranty is registered, but for your information it appears that "YOU PAY", "ServXtend REIMBURSES". You may assume it to be with one of the extended plans by RepairTech that you see MyTaxFree sells, but you would be wrong. Upon receiving your extended warranty plan under any "package", you'll find it is with an obscure company called "ServXtend" with the "Obligor:" being Consumer Electronic Warehouse, LLC, Wilmington, DE. I dare you to find reputable information on them - http://sheddingsomelight.com/buy-cameras/cameras-strategies.html. The moral of my story is that I should have listened to my instincts and what I had already read in these ratings. 30-days after placing my order, I was finding sites offering the same at $5 less, with better delivery promises supposedly, and warranties for which I could get a 5-year instead of the 3-year I ordered for as little as an additional $32.99.
I placed the $1,588.00 order by phone 24 September 2006. Only twice in the next month did I find a person available by phone. From my experience, leaving voice messages if the box is not already full or using their suggested e-Mail -- a promise to answer in 2-business days -- they do not answer and you wind-up holding the bag. My first contact with their customer service was at 15:45.p.m, 8 Oct. 2006. The fellow answering the phone informed me that my shipment was sent 28 Sep. and that I should perhaps receive it at home on Oct 23-24 -- which for everyone's information is the shipment option (3-4 weeks) I selected and paid for. Later I was contacted by phone by MS Ann J. Rice at 9:55a.m., 11 Oct. and was informed that my shipment was to be made 16 Oct. Two different shipping stories. Today is 22 Oct. just two days shy of a month and the only thing I know is that this company has had my money almost as long, I'm stuck with writing this, no TV, and no further information concerning my order.
Finally got the TV on 6 Nov. which had no damage from shipment but I had to go through customer service again to get a purchase invoice and the warranty paperwork which I'm certainly not satisfied with -- reading here: http://sheddingsomelight.com/buy-cameras/cameras-strategies.html
