Please read this review if you are intending to make a purchase form Exoticphone.com.  
This seller is a complete SCAM!  
 
I placed an order on the web site of this seller on Tuesday, there was an option for payment by phone, which was kind of weird but I did it anyway. So I called and gave them my card information after I placed the order online, they said they will charge my card and ship my phone. On Tuesday next week - still no activity in my online account the order was still ”pending”. I chatted with representative of the company online asking what is going on with my order, and they asked me to kindly redo my order through Google checkout because they couldn’t charge my card. I said alright cancel my current order and I’ll replace it. They did cancel my first order right away and redid it through Google checkout. The very same day the company told me they don't have the same color of the phone I ordered. I agreed to get a different color and they promised to ship it the same day. The next day which was Wednesday I received a email saying my order was shipped and a shipping number at my Google checkout account. I checked the number right away it was non existing, I thought I'll give it some time... Five days later – next Monday the shipping number was still non existing. I chatted with the company on their web site they told me it was shipped on Friday and will be receiving a shipping number the same day. Of course I didn't receive the promised shipping number. The next day I chatted with the company again and said straight away "I want my money back", "What is your order number" they say, after I gave the order number they said they will cancel and refund in two-three days, which can mean only one - that they have been lying all the time and never even shipped my item. I called over the phone and after they hung up on me few times I finally got a hold of someone and he kept lying on me that shipping needs five- six days and BS like that and he also said they will cancel my order and I’ll get a refund… Anyway this was Tuesday right? I kept checking my order on their website every day it was “pending” for few days. Finally on Saturday I chatted with the company again asking where is my money after I gave them the order they said it was canceled as you can probably guess at very same time I received an email from Google checkout stating that my order was canceled, which means what – of course they purposely didn’t cancel my order for five extra days and if I didn’t say anything they probably wouldn’t do so for a very long time…  
 
So beware exoticphone.com is complete fraud and scam. I just don't understand why Google checkout works with fake companies like this one.

These guys have every phone imaginable, there are very few places in Manhattan with their selection. Prices were good and service fast. Called at 3pm, they had my imported Nokia waiting for me within 1 hour at a price that was better than every other store. They beat Chinatown's selection and pricing by a good bit. Reccomended

I order a phone from this site on 6/19 and until 6/24 it still not ship so I call in to check why and they said it ran out of stock so I cancel the order on 6/24. But until now still haven't see the refund yet. This is just a cancel order, it not like a return or any thing like that but it took them 3 week still not thing yet. I'm not sure I can get my money back or not. This is badddddd.

I have been dealing with Exoticphone.com since 2006 as one of their registered wholesale customers. I am a retailer and have been exporting cellphones to different countries in the middle east for the last five years. I buy most of these latest cellphones especially Nokia in bulk quantities every other day from Exoticphone.com.  
 
"A good team of people, who know what they are doing and how they are going to make it till the end." These guys are young, energetic, sincere and obviously helpful. Ofcourse i have to admit that there have been some issues so far the inventory and shipping are concerned, nevertheless, it would be unjust if I don't say out loud that these guys took care of me for the last three years in a very amicable way. That's what I love about Exoticphone.com! I do understand the fact that there will be endless issues between the merchant and the customer but the bottom line is whether the merchant takes care of these problems professionally or not. They are polite, enthusiastic, and seem to be positively concerned about what would fit your needs the best, there is too little of that in the world today.  
 
Professional, practical, quick, efficient, well-bred and reverential. Garunteed to be one of the qualified online cellphone shops you've ever used.

Couple of weeks ago I bought a brand new unlocked cell phone from exoticphone.com, I bought one of their latest arrivals – the Sony Ericsson W995, so far I placed about 7 orders with them, I like to order from them because their phones are really good & I have no other choice but to admit that they always give the best price, compare to other websites they give the most reasonable price for unlocked OEM cell phones.  
 
Everything about exoticphone is really good & top class but there’s just one problem, sometimes they are late with their shipping but even then I can’t complain because later on they always make it up to me, they either give me a free car charger or a $5.00 discount.  
 
I told all of my friends, family members & colleagues about exoticphone and most my known people order from them regularly, yesterday a friend of mine, named alex bought a new Nokia N97 from them, I think he will receive the phone tomorrow. He is so excited about it, you guys are not going to believe how much he got it for, can you guess??? He got it only for $725.00, unbelievable, isn’t it? Other people are selling it for over $770.00 and some are selling for over $800.00. I wanted to order one of the N97 for myself as well but its too expensive for me, i can’t afford it at the moment. If anybody out here wants to get a N97 I would definitely recommend that you get it from exoticphone, firstly because of the unbelievable price they are offering and secondly because the N97 which they have not made in Korea, China or Japan, its made in Finland.  
 
OK now about my W995, man I really don't know what to say about it, its such a wonderful phone and for a music lover like this phone is perfect. I read a lot of reviews about the phone before I ordered for it but believe me the performance of the phone went beyond my expectation, I really didn't expect it to be so good. One of the rep's of exotic really helped me a lot to take this decision, he promised me that I'm not going to regret it & believe me when I say, I have no regrets what so ever, I really love the phone.  
 
Im writing this review about exoticphone mainly because of two reasons, firstly because Im really impressed with their service, they always take good care of me and from them I always end up getting what I want, so im one their most satisfied customers. The second reason is - I noticed that some people are writing some odd stuffs about them which is really not true, those guys are totally out of their minds, they have no idea about what they are saying or writing, either they are totally mad or they are just trying to spoil the reputation of exoticphone. Im writing this because I just needed to tell everyone the real story & I want everyone to know the truth.

I was actually a referred customer of Exoticphone.com. My friend had bought unlock GSM phones from them before. Their price is the best and service is average, not bad but not the best. They have live customer support and somewhat helpful. I actually dealt with the manager, neo, seems like a nice guy. Anyways, shipping was really fast.

I have bought Nokia N96 16GB from Exoticphone.com. I got one year warranty from Nokia. Normally, when I buy unlocked Nokia phones, they do not have any warranty. I guess I was lucky. anyways, the shipping was pretty fast. Maybe because they are located in same state as me. customer service was pretty good. Would do Christmas shopping again.

I ordered the Samsung U900 Soul Grey and they said that the order is out of stock. I email them to refund it and they give me the new order update and said that my order has been refund. I never receive the money for another 2 weeks and I email them again to refund my money but no reply. This is getting worse and I ended up called my bank to cancel my transaction and take my money back.  
You probably would have to call them first before making a payment to confirm that they actually have the product.

I bought a silver Sony Ericcson Xperia x1i for $600. At first I'd thought Exotic Phones was a fraudulent company because of the prices. And though users on blogsites had stated they were a scam, I'd took it upon myself to visit their office in person at 20 West 30th street in Manhattan, NY. I couldn't believe it myself! So far, they have the lowest prices from what I've seen online. I'd paid $599 for the Xperia x1i, which is a fairly low price compare to other merchants. I'm looking foward to buying from them again, maybe the Samsung Pixon this time.

Ordered a phone and received a tracking # via email that day. Contacted GSM Intl. 2 days later when UPS tracking info showed that phone never shipped. Called and was told to contact shipping after weekend. Did so and was told that the color ordered was not in stock. Agreed to another color and was told that phone was to be shipped next day service on same tracking #. Checking tracking today delivery is scheduled in 7 days, long after I've left on a trip. Although they are polite, dealing with the folks there is like talking to a wall: it's their way or the highway. I chose the latter and cancelled the order. Will be seeking a credit from PayPal whilst the package sits at the front door. Explained to the last fellow that my UPS driver will just leave it, even though requiring a signature. Suggested that he issue a "will call" so that it gets returned. Hung-up on him when I tired arguing. As stated, it's like talking to a wall!

Received a package from this company, which was purchased by someone on Bainbridge Island WA, who stole, and used, one of our company's credit card #s.  
I called Exoticphone.com (during their listed business hours), and listened to their phone ring around 50 times before I finally hung up.  
So, I visited their website, and noticed a button marked "Call Me Back." (again, during their listed business hours.) I am still waiting for a return call.  
If they process orders using stolen credit cards, they just might be too busy to return legitimate calls.....

I purchased a wholesale order from them of about 12 phones the total came out to a couple of grand every single phone had some sort of defect to it and then they refused to give me a refund for any of it, if they act like this with wholesale orders i have no idea how they act in retail but please stay far far away. And i know its hard to find a good source for higher end phones in the wholesale market but please keep looking dont even start doing business with these crooks they will send you used and broken phones and leave you holding the bill.

I have visited exoticphone.com's new location at 30 street and got sony ericsson w760. Honestly, very professional and nicely handled business. They do need more people and not charge tax if paid cash. I paid cash they still charged me tax. But definitely it was still worth it. The price by far cheaper than other stores.

ive purchase a white samsung omnia 16GB from exoticphone.com ive had read some of its reviews right after i purchase the device and was not very impressed from what i had read but i did my homework from other websites besides exoticphone and there prices are way better so far my shipment was good got my phone the next day and this was ground shipment so i was very pleased i might consider buying at exoticphone.com in the near future.

Like many of the other reviews for this company I have had ONLY bad experiences with them. I placed my order, they have my money, and after that the customer service is nil. On March 9th Mark contacted me to verify my shipping address, since I am trying to get it sent to an APO I can understand that there may be some concern about that. I sent an e-mail response, and called just to make sure that my order would be shipped as soon as possible. I spoke directly with Mark and he had me send him another e-mail confirming that address that he already had and I had already verified over the phone and in the previous e-mail. I asked him for a confirmation e-mail to make sure that he had recieved it and of course that never happened. The next day I sent another e-mail via their websight and got no response so I called again and was told that the order would be shipped out that day. I came into work on the 11th to an e-mail stating that the order was shipped via UPS which does NOT ship to APO. Now I will have to call them again and find out where they actually sent my $209 phone to. With that said, I am in Iraq right now, and I need the phone to support the soldiers I am assigned to, and not to mention that it is costing me a fortune to call back to the states. This was all made very clear to them from day one, I made a mistake by patronizing this place and I encourage anyone who is thinking about doing the same to smash their hand with a hammer instead because I'm sure it would be less painful.  
 
Update 25 March 2008:  
The phone was shipped to my home address in TX, where my wife had to pack it back up and ship it out to me overseas. Fine, I had a box coming to me anyway, whats adding a few more things. The phone arrived here about 6 days later, I charged it up and the battery immediatly discharged after unplugging it. They sent me the WRONG battery for the phone! I wrote them an e-mail on the 23rd, which was a Sunday that I expressed my dis-satisfaction with them and there customer service. To my suprise they e-mailed me back on the same day and told me that they were going to ship me a new battery out right away, and today on the 25th I have delivery confirmation numbers for the item. They did a good job resolving the battery issue for me, however it has not made my opinion of the store any better. I had to send a very nasty e-mail that I didn't want to send in order to get quality customer service out of them. I still would not recommend this store to a friend or anyone else.
