Over the past 5 years, I've ordered various DVD's through dvdempire and have never had a single problem. In fact, they are rated at the top of my list for supplying DVD's OVER the big names (amazon, best buy, buy.com, etc.) They continue to prove their superb customer service everytime I order.  
 
I appreciate having so many options available for shipment. This is one of the very few on-line retailers that offer you just about every option available at REASONABLE rates. From standard 1st class mail, all the way up to overnight priority. Incredible. For the person who was complaining about picking USPS Priority, you should probably have picked one of the other options if you wanted a guaranteed delivery date. DVDEmpire specifically states that USPS Priority is not guaranteed nor insurred.  
 
DVDEmpire has been very kind to me in the past, fixing problems as they arise, as well as just being friendly in their replies. A friendly, personable response shines in this industry. It's greatly appreciated.  
 
Please do not hesitate to give them a try, they ship fast and offer great deals.

Great selection, free shipping, great prices! What more can you ask for? They even had the DTS version of "Saving Private Ryan", which I've been looking for a while! I won't hesitate to order from them again.

This place ... isnt all cracked up as must people might see it. For one, ive order something on the 15th expecting it to come to me on the 18th. i specfically added the quick USPS prioty but now im sitting at home, on the 20th. Which i bought for a friend this particuliar gift, but i locked out ... and i have to give his gift late, also im still waiting for it, and the tracking and confirm by USPS shows nothing id ont even know where my package is ... surely but surely ... im extremely dissatisfied and i will not use this site every again ...

Ordered 3 DVD-Audio discs, 2 being special orders from Europe. All arrived within 10 days and in great shape. Excellent site, good selection, top-notch customer service. Have just made a second order with them and am sure it will go as well as the last one. Make sure to sign up for their newsletter before purchasing though since it contains special coupons for purchases. Saved me an easy $10 so far :)

DVDEmpire has a very good selection of DVD's. I always check a few other sites; price matching and many times DVDEmpire is lower priced. I've done business with them many times before and the best thing is the fast order processing/order shipping. The product reviews are a nice touch as well.

I saw Road to Rome on this site with a very good price, so I went ahead and ordered it on December 21, 2003 with 2-day shipping. Huge mistake. It should have arrived on December 23, but it never shipped. I e-mailed them about this, and they told me it was on "special order" even though there were at least 3 copies in stock when I ordered. Even still, special orders are supposed to arrive in 1-2 weeks. 19 days later, closing in on 3 weeks, the package was still never shipped. I finally got fed up with it and e-mailed them a nasty letter and cancelled my order. BUYER BEWARE. I've read some other reviews here and apparently a few other people experienced very similar problems, so this probably isn't such an uncommon thing to get from this company. Just be careful, it may be worth paying the extra few bucks to buy from a legit company.

Their prices are a bit high, but as far as using the website, service, and selection, they are very good. Never had a problem.

Very good retailer, I have ordered from them for over 2 years now. Great Customer Service too. I had a problem on my account and sent an e-mail. I got a response from them within 5 min. You can't beat that. May not have the best prices online, but the service more than makes up for it!

Great online retailer. They're prices are usually 5-10% lower than other sites so the prices are cheaper. I order from these people alot due to thier exceptional service.

Great website, clean ordering system, effective site feed back (Welcome, Order Verification, Shipping), and prompt delivery.

I've now placed 77 orders with DVD Empire. Over the last 30 months, I've only had two problems:  
 
(1) overcharged (by $30) on shipping: It took several  
email messages to get this cleared up; and  
(2) incorrect DVD shipped: I paid return shipping on  
the incorrect item ($1.65) and received its replacement  
quickly.  
 
In my experience, they’re fast and reliable, and have good (but not great) customer service. I don't use any other DVD vendor.
