Bought M-Tech's FL90 as this system was highly recommended by gamers' forums as a budget priced system with relatively high performance, especially the graphics.
CPU Speed : 2.39 GHZ
Memory : 2046 MB
GPU Card Type : GeForce 8600M GT
OS: Windows XP
At the time of purchase this system rivaled many desktops in performance and allowed playing flight simulators and other graphics intensive games with large requirements.
It is now 1-1/2 years old, and M-Tech now has a similar priced mid price system with much more up to date performance specs. And they have a higher priced top of the line laptop which is just about the most powerful gaming laptop in existence, yet cost is very reasonable compared to Alienware or Dell.
Never had problems operating this fine laptop.
Customer service was outstanding when wanting to upgrade the hardrive to one larger.
Would definitely recommend most highly.

I've had this laptop for almost three years, and it has performed exceptionally well. Overall I have been very satisfied with the service received and would no doubt consider M-Tech in the future!

I am a PC gamer who is very particular about the tools I use. I am not into state of the art for the purpose of bragging rights or with the intent to squeeze the last frame out of my hardware. I have built most of my own PCs with specific select components which give the most performance for the best value. As a member of the military going on my second combat tour, I found it very important to find the best desktop replacement laptop capable of meeting my performance goals. As is well known most laptop computers cannot compete with the best desktop PCs out there. But let me say this, with the advent of the mobile 8800 GTX video card in either single or SLI mode and the Intel Quad Core Extreme X6800 CPU at 2.93 GHz, there is no laptop out there with the capability and performance of the M-TECH 900c. AND...at a price $100s of dollars lower then the closest competition out there. I spent 2 weeks researching laptop manufactures with rigs having the 8700 or 8800 video cards, Quad Core CPUs, 7.1 Surround Sound, 4 gigs of ram, oh yeah and a 1920x1200 WUXGA screen. Not a whole lot out there. M-Tech won hands down.
OK, How about some negatives? If you are a person who likes all the pretty bells, whistles, and bright LED lights flashing all over name brands and alien shaped logos, well sorry...M-Tech is a simple sleek rig with minimal embellishments.
This thing weighs over 12 pounds. What do you want with all this power? You can't get 500 HP from a Honda Civic with out increasing it's weight a little.
Battery life. Bluntly put...all this horsepower consumes power! This is not one of those laptops where you sit under the old oak tree in the field on a beautiful day doing your homework. Nope, this laptop battery lasts less then an hour and better serves as a built in UPS on steroids.
A positive note...Upgradability! Get tired of what's under the hood some day; upgrade. Couldn't afford to buy all the best parts you wanted when you first purchased it; Upgrade. Some new technology comes out you must have, like Blu-Ray; Upgrade.
And it wouldn't be far to not go with out mentioning the great people who work at M-Tech. Wow!! For me, an opportunity to laugh or smile every day is never turned down. These great folks gave me that opportunity. I asked them "Is this better or that in your rig?" and (being a rather computer educated individual) they didn't steer me wrong.
I can only say that the M-Tech 900c is one kick butt laptop. Ow. Running Crysis at 1440x900 on VERY high graphics, ain't a bad thing either!!

M-Tech provided me with outstanding personal service during the ordering process for our new laptop. In addition, and something I have never before experienced in dealing with a computer seller, I was able to call M-Tech, have someone immediately answer the phone, and talk me thru the myriad technology options available for laptops on their website. I am the IT buyer for a medium size corporation and have purchased dozens of computers over the last 15 years. Without specifically naming competitors of M-Tech I have, without exception, only experienced extreme frustration both in the ordering process and in follow up and support. This is our second purchase from M-Tech and, as I told their rep after the outstanding service I was provided, we will not purchase from any other company. Finally, M-Tech laptops, in my brief (so far) experience, are rock solid - again, not something to be said about the 'Name Brand' competitors.

This is the second laptop I have ordered from M-Tech. I got one in December for my oldest son and we have been so impressed that we decided to get another one. It runs all the games we have and is very sturdy. We play several MMORPG's and the wireless internet connectivity is excellent. It was easy to order, was delivered on time and has not had any problems. I would highly recommend M-Tech to anyone that is looking for a quality laptop gaming computer that is reasonably priced.
I received the second laptop yesterday and again it is simply a great laptop for gamers, was easy to set-up and was in perfect condition. This review was modified by its author, swarrenjr, on

The ordering was very easy via the internet. I received immediate responses via emails and was notified of the prompt shipment. The products performed as advertised and actually were better quality than I had expected. The customer service was helpful and I would definitely buy from them again in the future.

This is the second laptop that I have ordered from M-Tech. During the process of selecting the best model and options, I have contacted M-Tech on 3 separate occasions over a 6 week period. All questions were professionally answered and the advice has been sound. For my model and options the pricing was very competitive (another reason I'm a returning customer).

Best computer I have ever owned. No problems at all from right out of the box. It's still the fastest computer in my office.

I needed a really good mobile computer and that's just what I got when I purchased my laptop from M-Tech. I would (and do) recommend them to everyone. Service is great from Jerry in sales to tech support and no calls to India! If I need something or have a question, I can pick up the phone and talk to a real person. I've had my laptop for 2 years and it's been great!

I am a long-time customer of Mtech Laptops- since 2000. In that time, I have purchased two high-end laptops from Mtech, which I use for gaming, surfing the internet, and word processing.
I am a very satisfied customer of theirs, not just because of their vastly superior product they sell, but also because of their committment to customer service and satisfaction before and after the sale.
The laptop products they sell are the best. They are the highest quality of Laptop that I have ever seen, and with the most features available that are very hard to find elsewhere.
In every step of the ordering process, they always made sure that my order is exactly what I wanted, and that it would be processed safely. With all the recent concerns about Credit Card fraud, Mtech laptops was always doing what was necessary to protect me as a customer from ID theft and Credit Card fraud. I really appreciated what they did to help me with that. There aren't that many companies that I have done business with over the years that go as far as what Mtech does to protect me and all their customers. I wish that more companies do what Mtech Laptops does to try to protect their customers.
I could not be more pleased with Mtech laptops, and I will be a customer of theirs for life.

This computer store is very cheap, despite a $200ish fee they charge for order security. I got an MTech D470K with 2048MB of RAM, huge 17" widescreen monitor, full size keyboard w/numpad, ATI radeon 9700 mobile 128MB video memory, built in microphone, 5 speakers including subwoofer, 60GB 7200 RPM HDD, AMD 64 3400+ CPU, upgraded wireless internet card (internal); all for under $1900 including shipping. Pretty darn good. I would buy a computer from them in the future (and probably will). Gerald Michrina (Jerry) was very helpful. This review was modified by its author, ottospielen, on

I ordered one unit from M-Tech. When informed they had ran into an over heating problem with the first batch of this unit I changed the order. I finally settled for and received a model M8100 from them. It uses the P4 desktop processor line in a portable. I am very happy with the unit. So far it has been like a dream come true.
There were no problems encountered with changing the order due to the circumstances. No extra charges were incurred.

Experiences have been mostly good. While customer service has fixed any problems that have arisen, the sending in the laptops on minor hardware failures puts me in a bind. I am not a gamer, I am a programmer and being without my laptop for an extended period of time is tough.
The only real problems I have experienced was with lines on my screen that eventually made it near unusable. Ya'll fixed it, but it took a while between sendind it in and getting it back, hence the comments above. Albeit, that was a situation where it had to be sent in for major repair, but small issues such as failed hard disks or etc, that can be easily replace in the field by someone such as myself with experience, would lessen the pain of losing your machine for up to 2 weeks.
Another issue that makes it a pain on the purchase is having to fill out, fax or whatever with the invoice. This is the only company I have ever had to do this with and I don't see the point especially on return customers. You have all kind of info for proof through phone numbers, credit card verification and etc.
Other than that it is all good.
Thanks,
