Buyer Beware! Do not get baited by their low prices. They will not sell to you without trying to add items you don't want. Here is my email I sent to cancel:
Wisetronics

To whom it may concern,

I am extremely disappointed with the order service or should I say lack of order service I received from your company. I had called and spoke to David Extn. 201 on Friday June 15, 2007 to place an order for a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3 Blue digital camera. I asked if it was in stock because I needed it quickly, he told me yes it was in stock. I said "OK" I would like to order it. He took down all my information and then told me I should order other items such as the extended warranty, lens cleaning kit, extra battery, etc. I went ahead and added the extra battery but did not want anything else. He then gave me a total of $350 which I asked what the itemized breakdown was. He said it is for the camera, extra battery, lens cleaning kit, and shipping (which was supposed to be 3 day shipping). I said hold on I did not want the lens cleaning kit. So he said he would take that off. He now said the total was $342.68. I said that includes the 3 day shipping "right"? He said "yes"! He then gave me the order # 314430 and his name and extn. #.

I then called your Customer Service department today to check on my order. Here is what happened: First attempt: I gave my order # to a man who said our order #s do not begin with a "3". He then asked for my name which I gave him and he put me back on hold. After waiting for about 5 mins another man picks up the line and asks me for information again then puts me on hold again. After waiting for another 10 mins another man picks up the line. I tell him he is the 3rd person to ask the same questions and he says hold on and puts me on hold a 3rd time. I was then left on hold for over 30 minutes with your message repeating your call will be answered in approx. 1 minute. At this point I hung up and called again. A lady named Rachel answered and I told her that she was the 4th person I had talked to and no one could find my order. I said I have my order number so why couldn't it be found. She then ask for my name which I gave her, still couldn't find order. Asked for my zipcodes, still couldn't find order. After all that she says you need to check with your credit card company to see if we billed you. WHAT!!! If you have no record of my order how can you bill me? I don't know how you keep records of your customers but a name should suffice and in my case my name is unique so there can be no mistake. I then hung up and called again and spoke to David at his extn. 201 since that was one of the things he gave me that was correct. After telling him the information I guess he sort of remembered taking the order and tells me the item is out of stock. I told him you said the item was in stock when I placed the order with you. That is the reason I asked for 3 day shipping. I then ask how long to get in stock and he replies 2 to 3 weeks. At that point I told him "CANCEL MY ORDER and DO NOT BILL ANYTHING". He said he would cancel the order. This confirms my cancellation!

Will not sell to you if the price is not right for them.

Based on what I thought was a good price, I placed an order with
Wisetronics.com for a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8 for my father-in-law. A
couple
of days later I get a call saying "Ya know, that doesn't come with a
battery
(first lie) you need to buy one, we have the 2 hour battery for 39 and
an
extented 8 hour for 99" I asked him point blank "You mean this camera
doesn't come with a battery?" he said "No, you need to buy this one,
but buy
the extended one and I will throw in the other for free!" (second lie)
I
checked on this and the kit from the factory comes with the battery and
charger. I cancelled the order, the guy on the other end of the line
said
"Ok, your order is cancelled" (third lie). Now, nearly two weeks later
I get
a shipping notice saying my order from them has shipped. Luckily I
called my
credit card company when I cancelled the order and told them I had
cancelled
it and to make sure that a note was placed in the account. I called
them
back today and disputed the
charge.

I also sent a note to Wisetronics telling them I didn't want the
camera, and
if they shipped it it would be unsolicited merchandise. Under the laws
of
the US if you receive unsolicited merchandise you are under no
obligation to
return it to pay for it. I thanked them for the free camera.

Watch these clowns, don't use them!!

This company is disgusting!
The guy "verifying" my order asked me "Do I want the plastic or glass filter kit with this lens?"... he offered glass for price of plastic.. This made me wary..so I said "just send what I ordered!" then he asked "is there was a reason you are not purchasing the better model." I said " I want the Nikon Lens I ordered!" .. He than said it was a Gray goods item..
So I cancelled my order. Unfortunately he already had my credit card info! I'm sorry I didn't know about resellerratings.com before going to this bait and switch outfit.

IT IS SIMPLE - THEY ARE BREAKING THE LAW AND NEED TO BE STOPPED! DO NOT MAKE ANY PURCHASES WITH THESE SCAM ARTISTS. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER! NOW WE HAVE TO PUT A "WATCH" ON OUR CREDIT CARD - DO NOT TRUST THEM! ANY POSITIVE FEEDBACK WAS MOST LIKELY DONE BY THEM. WE WERE GIVEN AN ADDRESS OF PO BOX 87725, NEW YORK CITY, NY, 10018 WHICH IS PROBABLY FALSE.

Ordered Canon Powershot S3. Wisetronics claimed to have this item in stock when I ordered. Two days later I get an email to call and "verify" my order at their Verification department at 1-877-678-8990 (Extension 202). I call and their rep. asks me to verify info they already have, and then trys to sell me a bunch of other stuff. I refused to buy any additional items. He then tells me I will now get free shipping, but the camera would not get to me for 7 to 12 business days. So I wait till May 30th and I see that my credit card has not been charged an I've received no shipping notice. I call them, and after being kept on hold for about 1 hour, I talk to a guy named James. I ask him when my camera will ship and he tells me it will ship in another 5 to 6 weeks. At that point I cancelled the order. Oh, and when I checked their web adds, they always claim to have the item in stock...

WiseTronics claim they have the Sony HC38 in stock, I ordered a Sony HC38 Camcorder through WiseTronic homepage and recieved a confirmation email on 6/5/07. On the order, I told them do not ask me to buy extra over priced stuff for this order. I saw the 2 year warranty and other accessary price are outrageous. 2 days has passed and no phone call or follow up emails of shipping status. On 6/7/07 I call their phone number, and push the order status extension. I was put on hold for over 30 min. Eventually, the sales answer teh phone and told me they do not ahve it in stock. This is same game all this stores played for at least last 15 years. These black stores has one thing in comon, they all closed on Saturdays. I ask why do not close on Sunday instead? They answer is Sat is the religeous holiday for Jewish. Avoid Wise Tronics!!

Placed order on 4/30/07 and got email to call to 'complete' order. They tried to sell lots of overpriced stuff and I refused and they said that it would be 2-3 weeks to get the camera. It is now June 5th. During each call I made to check the order they tried to sell overpriced extras or a "retail kit" that was available now but the camera itself was not available. If I wanted to spend an extra $150 I could get the 'kit' immediately with all the extra worthless junk but I refused so they again said it would be two to three weeks to get the camera. I searched the web and found Wisetronics still showing the lowest price for the product and it was listed as "in stock" but I've been waiting over a month for it. Their customer service said that she would tell their internet department to update their inventory more often but that's all she could do. I had to wait or cancel the order she said. I canceled the order today. They're using illegal bait-and-switch tactics that many companies have been sued for in the past yet these people are getting away with it... Somebody sue these bastards!

Warning terrible vendor, if you are like me, you’ll want to read this. I ignore the rave reviews and read all the bad comments, so I can see how errors are handled. This was the worst experience I have had, to date, online. Customer service was no help after waiting 20 min. on hold. I called 2.5 wks after the confirmation e-mail to find out my order had been cancelled. Then, when I thought I was being transferred to a supervisor, I got the voice mail. Needless to say, my call was never returned.

Tried to purchase a Panasonic Lumix TZ3 digital camera. Price was $100 less than retail and substantially less than most etailers. Received the request to "call for verification" the next business day. Was told that I should purchase a battery and charger for $119, and that the camera needed a high-speed SD card ($156 for 1 gig). With this, they were going to offer me FREE NEXT DAY Shipping. I hung up and checked prices and details. Prices were of course way overpriced. When I called back, I asked how many mAH the battery had, and was told "it was very strong--900 mAH". Original manufacturer's battery in 1000 mAH.

I told him that I was not interested in any accessories--the man then told me that he could go as low as $99 on the battery and 140 on the memory card. When I again declined, he said "fine, your order will ship in 2-3 weeks."

I called back after 2 weeks and was told that the camera was on backorder.

This is an obvious Bait and Switch operation. Encourage all readers to avoid dealing with them. I can't believe that this site is even listed on some clearinghouse shopping sites. STAY AWAY!!

Attempted to purchase a Nikon D80 kit from their site after first confirming by phone that they had them in stock. Their price was much lower than other sites. Six months and numerous phone calls later, still no camera. They insist that it is still out of stock but offer to sell me the same camera for a much higher price with a useless bundle of extended warrenty, filters etc.

I ordered a HDC-SD1 Panasonic High Definition Video Camera for $679 on 5/17/06 online. I called the next day to confirm my order. I was 'urged' by a person named STEVE (ext. 105) to purchase a 5 hour lithium battery for my HDC-SD1 ($145) He said the battery that came with it was only good for about an hour so I would be better off with a 5 hour capacity. In reality the battery that came was not not only incompatible for my Panasonic model but it was a very cheap brand by Digital Concepts retailing for $49. This links to the EXACT battery for which I was charged $149. http://www.ritzcamera.com/product/142040757.htm (I had the model number on the Digital Concepts battery and can post it on request)

The lens kit was FLK43p was http://www.wisetronics.com/43mm-Pro-High-Resolution-3pc-Digital-Filter-kit-p/flk43p.htm an exorbitant $219. This SAME KIT IS offered on ebay for the price of about $10.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Merkury-Optics-3-Piece-High-Resolution-Filter-Set-30mm_W0QQitemZ280118993184QQihZ018QQcategoryZ64327QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

and now my order went from $670 to $1055. I wanted the VW-LF43N filter kit which was in the accessories catalogue for $35.95, instead I got an inferior brand selling $10 which I paid over $200.

Included was a LCD Screen Protector charged at $12.95. When the invoice came it was NOT ITEMIZED and showed the $1,099.99. They bargain with you on the phone selling you accessories or equipment that the Original Equipment Manufacturer included with the merchandise (for example, camera batteries and/or battery chargers); and say he is selling your UPGRADED versions that appear in the catalogue. I was led to believe that I would receive the VW-VBG260-K (80 minutes of high definition recording) which is an "upgraded" version of the VW-VBG130-K battery(40 minutes of high definition recording) that came with the camcorder.

I asked if it was in the Panasonic catalogue list for ACCESSORIES and they said it was. They also went through an a la carte list of numerous accessories, warranties, etc. I refused all but the battery, a set of what I though were OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer Product) lens filters. After seeing the battery was Digital Concepts and a size at least twice as bit as the original battery, I refused to open the plastic see-through package. James INSISTED for 10 minutes that I open the package, but I refused. He then offered me about 1/2 of what I paid for the battery ($145) citing a 15% restocking charge for this incompatible and inferior battery pack. Wisetronics charges $219 for a $10 item then calls it "buyers remorse" (see their policy), after the product arrives and it is a cheap, imitation of the real filter kit ordered.

Further it was claimed it was part of a "kit" but this was order ala carte when Steve went down a list of accessories and I refused all but the Battery Pack, the LCD Screen Protector and the 43mm Pro High resolution, filter kit. I do not think it fair that I pay a 15% restocking fee when I was strong armed to buy a battery that offered more than 5 times the recording time than the battery that came with the recorder. The battery was ultimately worthless to me. The Filter kit is a sham as you can get it for $10 anywhere. Will I buy from them? Well I have opened up a BBB complaint, and will try to initiate a chargeback from my credit card company as well as entertain a lawsuit with any district attorney that is willing to hear my case for consumer fraud. I was scammed for about $310 not to mention the aggravation.

I am very unhappy with the way my order was processed.

I just received my shipment for order # 13715 for my daughter's Canon Powershot SD800 and accessories and found the following problems:

Code Description PROBLEM

bpnb2lh Super Hi-Capacity 5-HR Lithium-Ion Rechargeable Battery This is the wrong battery. It should have been part number bpn5l for the NB-5L
http://www.wisetronics.com/Extended-Life-Lithium-Battery-For-Canon-Cameras-p/bpnb5l.htm

unch External AC/DC 100/220 Rapid Charger for Lithium Ion Batt this does not work with the Canon NB-5L battery. Your rep (Steve) recommended.

Apparently, your system as no internal control over checking the compatibility of products you sell. This must be very costly to your business.
Also, the rep misrepresented product features. For example, he suggested an alternative dual voltage charger (110-240) for European travel. I responded that I remembered the specs as saying that the std charger was dual voltage. He insisted that it was not. I trusted him and upgraded. The specs for the charger that arrived clearly indicate dual voltage. I was conned into an expensive, unnecessary upgrade.

This is by far the worse company I have ever done business with. A total fraud. After searching on the web using different search engines for good price on a camcorder, I was unfortunate to see the price listed by Wisetronics which was well below anyone else's price. After placing the order, I called them the next day and I talked to Thomas who is very skilled at rushing the customer and and increasing the dollar amount of the purchase by convincing the customer they needed this and that extra items that the camcorder could not work without. My ticket went up from $209 to $429, but I was ok. with it only if the transaction was genuine and the company delivered what it had promised. The next day I saw that the company had charged my card $550. I was mad and called to cancel, but they said the order had been shipped. I refused to accept the shipment, but they went ahead and credited me back only $475. I'm out by $75 becuase they charge restocking fee. To begine with I never opened the package. Second I only decided to cancel the order becuase the company charged an amount on my card that I had never authorized. What a scam. MY advice: NEVER ORDER FROM WISETRONICS. THEY ARE THE WORSE.

I ordered a DCR-SR300 camcorder. The online price was great, so I ordered it (wish I had seen their rating on this website first!). However, they sent me an email asking me to call 1-877-678-8990 (Extension 202) to confirm the order. When I called the number, they tried to first sell me stuff I did not need...for example, they said it is a HD camcorder (it is not...when I said it is only a HDD camcorder, they had the nerve to say it is also a HD) and tried to sell me expensive filters. Also, the website had indicated shipping 3-5 days, but when I asked them when I'd receive it, he said 2 weeks. I asked to cancel the order and he just hung up! I called again and voiced my displeasure and the obnoxious sales guy simply laughed and hung up! I had to call again and wait on customer service for a long time to get the orer cancelled. VERY OBNOXIOUS AND MISLEADING!!!
