I like others have suffered a bait and switch by this store. I ordered two 2 GB ATP secure digital cards only to recieve 2 Q memory- generic store brand cards. From reading other reviews, I know I can expect to pay a restocking fee on the bait and switch.
WARNING! Fraudulent Online Merchant involved in massive Bait-and-Switch operation with memory products. It's a Win-Win situation for this Merchant because they still will make at least a $15 PROFIT from you if YOU RETURN the Item!
If you don't believe this, search for FLASMEMORYSTORE.COM reviews and you will find way too many people who have ordered a specific brand name product only to receive a NO Brand, NO Label, Generic Knockoff product.
It happened to me when purchasing an SD memory card for my camera. After I complained their emails are as follows:
EMAIL SENT-"Received some kind of generic 2gb memory that is not kingston 133x Ultra - will wait couple of days fro your response then will take it up with my bank for CC fraud"
RESPONSE RECEIVED: "Alex Koval - FlashMemoryStore.com / If you want to return item, please use the attached form. The truth is in this case is lack of education about these products. Only people who do not know anything about this industry react so. We still have only 4% return rate
I promptly returned the Item without waiting for their RMA.
I have disputed the entire charge with my bank.
I have sent the details of this fraudulent transaction along with any other similar reviews to the Florida State Attorneys office for their review.
You should do the same if taken advantage by this fraudulent merchant. ...
1. 1 GB miniSD card which I liked and kept.
2. 2 GB Lexar CompactFlash card (as advertised on their website) and I received Kingston. I contacted them and asked to return it. I had to use UPS (10-$ cost) as they did not provide return shipping authorization. In addition, they deducted 10$ from my refund for re-stocking fee, eventhough it was their mistake to begin with. On contacting by telephone, they advised me that I had not filled out the RMA form completely but in my various correspondence with them after mailing them the RAM form, it was never mentioned. I have filed a complaint with Illinois BBB.
I paid for a Kingston sd card, they sent me a no-name brand. I sent it back.
I paid $139.95 + shipping, they refunded me only $118.96??
They no longer respond to my queries.
These people are just flat CROOKS! I ordered a SONY memory stick, they shipped me a SANDISK! When I accused them of BAIT AND SWITCH, they tried to show me their "substitution page & policy". I am afraid to send the item back now, knowing that they may charge some exorbant restocking fee! I have been back and forth with them numerous times. They are TRULY DISHONEST AND JUST A TERRIBLE BUNCH OF THIEVES! STAY AWAY!
I only wish that I had found this site previous to my placing an order with this outfit.
I ordered 2 - 2gig Lexar Flash Cards, they sent me 2 - 2 gig Kingston Flash Cards. I have nothing against Kingston and I understand they have a good product. I just never have used them and as I told "Dennis" in customer service that, if I wanted Kingston brand I would have ordered it in the first place. He said, in an email, that the "Kingston cards were good ones, they were rated higher then Lexar. Try them," he said "I'm sure you'll be happy with them". Then he offered a $15 credit. He claimed that the reason why they shipped the Kingston cards was that the Lexar cards were on back order from the manufacturer. My point to them was again, I did not want Kingston, and I was never notified nor asked if I would accept a replacement brand. Well like everyone else posting comments here, I finally convinced them to take them back - unused, unopened packages, etc. I got my refund within a reasonable period of time, much to my surprise, but they withheld a 15% restocking fee. In follow up emails to Dennis, which still go unanswered, I asked of Dennis, why should I pay for their mistake by being charged a restocking fee. And like everyone else, I shipped them back at my expense. Since then, and after ready the postings here, I have filed complaints wherever I thougt it would do any good. Credit card companies, Better Business Bureau, State Attorney General Offices, etc. But in the end I will write it off as a rather "inexpensive price for a very valuable lesson learned". That being, check companies out before purchasing from them in spite of what they may say about themselves. Needless to say, I too will never buy from this "company" again.
I am very dissatisfied with customer service. Item ordered did not work after waiting several weeks to arrive even though I paid for three day shipping. After returning the card I was charged over $50 which is over 25% for a restocking fee. Needless to say I am unhappy and will surely not use them again. If this is how they do business it is unlikely they will be around for long anyway. No one to talk with by telephone…
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY-THEY ARE DOING A BAIT AND SWITCH!
I ordered the SanDisk 2gb MiniSD Card. What I recevied was a no name genaric card. I sent e-mail after e-mail to them with no reply. I stated in my e-mails that not only did I not get the SanDisk that I ordered and is shown on there web page but the no name card I did get did not work. I never got 1 reply back from them.
I called my credit card company and stopped payment. I was hoping they would fight me for the money so i could bring to light what they are doing but they did not.
Also I have come to find out that the Cnet and other tags on there web site is fake.Cnet has them listed as using there logo with out there consent.
By the way both the Card and Adapter I got dont work.
I just checked out BizRate.Flash memory Store is using there Logo on there Web site and this is what they have to say:
As another user reported, we also ordered a Hitachi hard drive and were shipped a no-brand (Q-Memory, which apparantly is made by them) instead. After some more research, we found out that Hitachi doesn't even make a USB drive, even though flash-memory-store proudly lists it on their site. We also paid for DHL express shipping, but they used UPS ground. After a huge runaround by email (no response to the phone), we finally got the instructions how to return the product, but they only credited a partial refund. They never responded to inquiries after that point. It also appears that the *******, cnet, and probably other credentials on the bottom of their page are fraudelent -- none link to the accrediting sites. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM OR YOU WILL BE DEFRAUDED.
The true bitrate rating is as low as it can be.they could kill babies and not get a lower score from Bitrate.

Superb shop, excellent customer service, fast response and speedy delivery. Answered my questions on compatibility with my Camera within a day and my new memory card works perfectly. Minor critism; could do with a cheaper international shipping option to the UK for lightweight items like memory cards, etc - Im sure more UK customers would then buy from this store. Overall a fantastic online experience - highly recommended, would definitely use again.
2/1/06: I ordered 2GB SanDisk Mini SD card with Lifetime Warranty using 3-5 day delivery option. The website said inventory status was "Ready to Ship." Received shipping status update email with incomplete link to tracking number.
2/7/06: I sent email requesting status since item should have arrived but had not received any shipping confirmation since original bogus one. Website still said inventory status was "Ready to Ship."
2/9/06: I received email appologizing for backorder status indicating order would ship early following week. Website still said inventory status was "Ready to Ship."
2/15/06: I found this website and this list of reviews indicating consistent pattern of fraudulent behavior. I left voicemail requesting status update or cancellation of order if still not shipped.
2/16/06: I received email indicating order had been shipped.
2/22/06: I received GENERIC NO-NAME 2GB Mini SD Card in plain, un-marked package. No Warranty Information. No User Information. No SanDisk Information. Now I will try to determine if the speed rating on this un-warrantied generic card is anywhere close to what the SanDisk card should have been. I will also try to return this item and get my money back as it is NOT WHAT I PURCHASED.
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS STORE. My experience is exactly like others in that I had long delays in shipping the item I ordered and awfull customer service. And when the item did finally ship, it took 8 days even though I paid for next-day air.
I was happy to finally get the card, but then I see that it is an unbranded card, NOT the sandisk 2gb mini-sd that I thought I ordered. It works, so I am keeping it, but I am not sure if it's a qaulity card or what the speed is or it's warranty. I will never do business with this store again, and I encourage you reading this to find another company to do business with.
I ordered a 2GB Sandisk Ultra II SD card from this store. Their website showed a picture of the packaged card that I expected to receive. I was quite disappointed to find a generic SD card in generic packaging when the package arrived. The shipping time was ok, just a little slow, but the fact that I got an un-branded card is unforgiveable. Dennis, in customer service, responded to my emails in good time, but just to convince me that the card I got is equivalent to the Sandisk (made by the same manufacturer of the innards of the Sandisk card). I hope that's true and that the quality control was adequate.
I will never do business with this seller again. This experience has inspired me to register with this ratings website and use it!!
Ordered 1-19-06, free shipping 10 to 14 days. Now 2-10-06. Still no product.Won't answer emails, tracking number says USPS notified but not recieved pkg yet. Will never use this company again. Will tell all my club members to blacklist this company. We are professional and amature photographers.
FlashMemoryStore is the worst shopping online experience I ever had and I buy lots of stuff on the web.
I ordered specifically 2 Olympus Smartmedia Cards with panaromic feature costing total $90, but they sent me a no-name brand that did NOT work. I sent it back asking for a refund and they only refunded me $59 because of "restocking fees" apparently. I was out of pocket $30 in the end. Also, Dennis, from their refunds department was very uncooperative on the email. Beware of this website! They take your money and run.
