terrible customer service, mishandled mis quoted orders, they suck, will never do buisness

SoundCity2000 has provided me with absolutely no customer service from an order I placed in August of 2000. They were not able to locate the product I ordered nor have they given me a refund. This has been after numerous e-mails, faxes and discussions with actual customer service representatives, who by the way, have promised to rectify this situation on a number of different occasions. I feel they have stolen my money and will not contact me or respond to my inquiries (I have even e-mailed the president of the company with no response yet)!

I ordered 5 CDs from Sound City 2000 in late June 2000 they promptly deducted an amount from my Credit card, no order confirmation was sent. Also no advice as to why the particular amount had been deducted. After 90 days I e-mailed Sound City (not too politely as they were very quick to point out) and was basically instructed to wait. I queried what they had charged me for and it transpired that they had only accepted 2 of the CDs I had ordered and charged me for those plus shipping. I have e-mailed them once since, politely asking whet was happening to my order – no response has been forthcoming. I'm still waiting for the CDs to be sent. I certainly doubt what they do is legal. Don't use them!

Order still "pending" after 100 days. I received no "status report" after 90 days (as stated on website), until I requested it:  
 
". The maximum time (from the day we get your order until it is shipped) is 90 days. This applies to "difficult" titles, such as those printed in very small quantities, released on small labels or those very old. (Please note the time the package spends in transit (UPS or mail) is not included in the order processing time.)"  
 
 
The status of my order was currently "out of stock" with possible re-press soon "this month".  
Sound City 2000 did not offer me the options stated on their web page at that time:  
 
"If any particular title is not available when your order expires, we will notify you by mail, give you detailed reason why the CD has not shipped and what are future prospects of getting it. After receiving such Option Notice, you have a choice of either extending the order (if you don’t mind waiting a little longer), or you can change your order to some other title, or you can have a full refund. Important: In case of disruptions beyond our control, such as natural disasters, strikes, computer failure, domestic or foreign holidays, vacations or other work stoppages, our regular order processing time is extended until the respective situation returns to normal. "

Trying to get an admittedly arcane CD from SC2000. Later found I could order it for almost half the price at Virgin Records. My order from SC2000 is now over 4 months old and though I have repeated emails and long-distance calls, no refund. They promise refund only after 90 days. When I called after about 70 days I got no answers at all and only smug attitude.

I HAVE ORDERED FROM SOUNDCITY2000 NUMEROUS TIMES.MY OVERALL VIEW OF THE COMPANY IS ...1. THEIR PRICES ARE HIGH.2.IT TAKES AT LEAST 6 WEEKS TO RECIEVE PRODUCT AND UP TO 6 MONTHS.3.IF YOU DONT ORDER FROM THEM REGULARLY YOUR CUT OFF THE MAILING LIST.4.TELLING YOU THE IDEM IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE,WHEN IT REALLY IS.I FOND BETTER ALTERNATIVES!

A nightmare to deal with!
