I placed a online order sunday june 29 2008 and today it is wednesday july 9 and I still have not heard a status from TankGuys regarding a possible ship date, tracking #, etc. This is by far the worst customer service I have heard off. I sent a few emails to them during these 10 days which I have not heard a repsonse from. They said my order would be shipping from there supplier in nevada which would only take a couple days, 3 at most ground shipping for me to recieve them in california. They really drop the ball on this one. I'd be happy with just a refund at this point.

Long, long story in short.
I ordered RETAIL E3110 4/5, and I got the SMALL OEM E3110 package on 4/15. So, I sent a couple of emails with the proof until I got response. After that I got this message(4/17).
Hello-
I can arrange to swap this for the retail one, or if you like, I'd be happy to give you a discount on that instead. Normal OEM price for the processor is $187, but since we would have to pay so much shipping back and forth, I can sell it to you for $165. That's a very, very good deal on the CPU, and would prevent you from having to wait at all. Let me know if this sounds acceptable. Thanks!

I asked to exchange, and he accepted it. So, the day next I got the response, I sent the package through usps(4/17). After I sent the package, I got this message.(I aksed about the returning shipping fee)
-No, you won't have to pay the return shipping fee. I will send you a pre-paid return shipping label. We will ship out the replacement tomorrow. Thanks!
He promised to send the retail package the next day. However, he didn't even send the retail one the day, but also he ignore my couple of emails.(I asked him to send Arctic Silver 5($4.99) with the package instead paying the return shipping fee $5.25)

Ordered 1 Ram kit at approximately 5:00 A.M Wednesday Jan. 24, 2007. Received email confirming order at 6:47 A.M 1/24. Received email changing status to "Preparing for shipment" at 3:05 P.M. 1/24. This email stated that my order would ship the following day, 1/25/2007 via FedEx Home Delivery. Received email 1/25/2007 10:03 A.M. stating "Order Shipped" and provided tracking number.
FedEx tracking data shows package not picked up until 3:44 P.M 1/26/2007--a full day later than stated to me. Because FedEx Home does not deliver on Mondays this resulted in my not receiving package until 1/31/07.

This was an unfortunate mistake, and one we should have caught. The package was indeed picked up on 1/25, but was picked up by a FedEx EXPRESS truck. Unfortunately, the package was not then handed off to the GROUND system until the following day. FedEx doesn't list tracking information until the package enters the appropriate branch. Thus, even though the package was indeed shipped and picked up on the 25th, it did not enter the ground shipping system until the 26th.
We have since differentiated between ground and express shipments to prevent this from happening again. |

Great communication, just wished my order would of been cancelled when I asked. It caused my account to go in to the red thus I had to pay some banking fees because of this.

I placed an order over a week ago and they have not yet shipped my order. I'm not sure what is going on with them right now. They've been great but to not have an item processed after an entire week is just a bit ridiculous.
I've emailed twice now and have gotten no response back. I don't think this is how you're supposed to treat your own customers.
Edit:
I finally got a response today saying my email somehow got "lost".
Either way. To get back to someone 4 days after sending an email on an order that was placed a week ago is still a long time.
They are having issues with the company providing the parts. I just wish he had let me know the day after (or even 2 days) my order was placed so I could have found the part I needed from a different vendor. This review was modified by its author, shimmishim, on

I was able to have the order held at a FedEx terminal that was near my job rather than having it repeatedly sent to my home while I was at work so that ended up working out, it ended up being a day late, which I can not hold TG accountable for if Fedex did not pick up.
I do have to give them credit for actually having the Q9450 in stock and not taking advantage of the shortage and charging a premium.
As for my original review I would like to change my rating to satisfied. I may order from them again but I prefer a reseller that is able to ship to my work addres, though I could always pick orders up from FedEx if needed. I respect their reasons for strict shipping to billing address, it is just inconveinent for me.
As far as responding to my inquiries, today is the first time I have heard from them and I checked my spam / deleted messages. I do not see any other message from TG that I may have missed at the time. They didn't receive some of mine, I didn't receive some of their's, so maybe there was some kind of problem that day.
"Your order will ship out on Monday, FedEx tracking number:"
Well, it didn't ship Monday. They claim that they needed more time due to heavy orders. Did they inform me? Did they even answer my inquirys when Fed Ex did not recognize the tracking # they provided on Monday night / Tuesday morning? No.
Late Tuesday they put up a disclaimer stating all orders for the item I ordered would not ship out until late next business day after order.
I timed my order to arrive on my day off, when I would be home to sign for it. When I found out it was delayed I attempted to reroute it to my work address or have it held at the nearest Fed Ex facility for pick up. while Fed Ex was acceptable to this , TG was not and my order proceeded to my home, late , when I was not home to accept it. All my requests to TG to redirect the packagewent unanswered, all my requests to Fed Ex to reroute it were overridden by TG.
While I am happy TG had the item I ordred in stock, ultimately their service was disappointing and I would not recomend them.

The delay was unfortunately due to FedEx not showing up for the pickup on Monday. We made sure the package was shipped the following day.
We also only received one e-mail, which we did fail to respond to - however, we never got the other e-mails mentioned. Unfortunately, customers are also unable to re-route packages due to the extremely high rates of credit card fraud in our industry. |

Great reseller. Answers email same day, works over the weekend with billing so that shipping is done ASAP. Would recommend to everyone, they are the best.

Ordered an i7 920 on Saturday morning.
Confirmed,packed and ready for shipping all on the same day.
Excellent price, great service.
What more can you say.
Generally has top shelf stuff for a little less than other stores, or hard to find/hot items for just a couple of bucks more.
Only gripe is they don't sell much "mainstream" memory.....and that isn't really the point here.
Highly recommended.

Awesome web store. Had an Intel e8400 in stock for the cheapest price I could find on the net. They use Google checkout, and give a coupon to save even more. Ordered on Sunday, had my part on Tuesday with the cheapest shipping option. Part was exactly as expected and performs beautifully. Nothing to complain about.

Not only did TankGuys have the E3110 in stock for a great price, but your customer service is awesome!! I had accidentally entered my email address incorrectly when I created my account with them. So, after purchasing my proc, I never received an email verification, nor was I able to sign back in to the site.
I sent TankGuys an email with my correct email address and asked them to correct the mistake. I sent my email at 6:26pm PST on a Monday evening. Just 11 minutes later, I received an email from TankGuys letting me know the problem was resolved and that I should be able to login now. Sure enough, I was able to login successfully.
Now that's what I call customer service!

was purchasing a Q9450 and everyone else was out of stock. It stated on their website that they could not guarantee same day shipping on this product. I sent an email asking when it could be shipped. Within 30 minutes I received an email stating it could be shipped the next day which is fine since it was already about 2:00. The price was cheaper here then at many places that didn't have it. They responded quickly to emails. They shipped on time. I'd buy again.
