Price Check: Laptop

Thanks to Socalgal for clearing me to post this

I bought a Built-For-You Compaq via their website two years back and have been very pleased with it; however my work is going to let me carry around an ibook so I don't need this laptop much longer.

What would be a fair price for the unit?

Specs:

Compaq 1200Z:

AMD Athlon 4 @ 900Mhz
384MB PC133 SDRAM
13.3" TFT LCD
10GB HD
8 MB ATI Rage Mobility Graphics Card
CD-ROM
Onboard 56K Modem and 10/100 Ethernet Card
2X USB Ports
VGA-Out Port
Parallel Port
2x PCMCIA Expansion Slots
JBL Platinum Stereo Sound

Condition: Completely functional, works fine. Usual "wear and tear" cosmetic blemishes; F2 key is loose but functional, LCD hinges have small cracks on back but nothing serious.

And of course I have all the software, recovery CD, et. al that came with the unit.

Any ideas?

I'd say you could/should be able to get ~$500 depending on the "wear and tear". That's what I'd ask for it anyway. Pics would help. If it's Win2K on the Recovery CD, I'd ask for another $75.

I'll second EvilRick's input... $500 sounds like a reasonable price.

Just for comparison... I'm getting $400 for 400Mhz Compaq Armada's right now.

They seem to be selling for $200-$400 on Ebay...depending on condition.

yeah i agree with the price... i actually just finished scoping out e-bay and they aren't much more then what your asking... yet, probably even less on e-bay....

just a thought. but here'a a bump for a good idea...
