WTB: power cord needed

This is a odd request, so I am asking to see if anyone just *might*? have something like this. I picked up a epson receipt printer (free) and it doesn't have a power cord. It takes a funny looking powercord, and I can only find websites that want to charge $42+ dollars for a powercord! What a ripoff!! Is there someone here who would have a powercord cheap for this printer?

Epson TM-U300PC 011

Model: M51PC

30V 0.8A

That's what it needs. The connector is real funny looking, and is a pain being so unique to the printer.

Can someone help? I will understand if this gets locked (although it is still computer related )

Thanks,

Dane

Search the ended auctions on ebay, find one that didn't have it's reserve met. Email the seller, and offer them $XX for just the power cord.

I lost the power cable for my LexMark Z52 printer a few months ago in a move. Printers were going for around $15-$20 + shipping (Even though I paid $150 new!!). I offered a seller $15 shipped for just the power cord, and they did it. They can either sell the printer w/o cable or toss it for the $10 difference. Not many people want to find a box, packing peanuts, and ship the whole printer for a difference of $10. Good luck!

You could always check flea markets or thrift stores.

It looks like the TM-U300PC one. I'll take a clearer picture of it later. The bottom of the unit says it is 30V 0.8A.

I found this unit in the dumpster behind a chair store, but didn't find the power cord unit. That is why I was wondering.

Pretty cool find Thanks for the manual DallasDon!

Here's another thought:

Saver's has lots of those ac adapters, and old epson printers. Might take a look, but 30 V seems not to common. Three stores here in The Promised Land.

You might spend more in "labor" than the printer is worth.

so three of the savers stores here in las vegas have printers like that? It's a $346 printer according to some websites I ran across. Definitely not cheap. Hope it works!!!

As you probably know, Saver's buys in bulk from non profit thrift stores. I just meant that they have lots of ac adapters, but the 30 Volt is not as common as 9 or 12 volt, so I donno.
