WTB: 15 LCD (black)

Another system build for a friend.. not making much cash.

He asked if I could find a $200 one, after I I told him I'd look.. but I can't find any rebates anywhere! Not that I want a rebate, but the end price is cheaper. Does anyone have a new one, or know of a good site to get one at a decent price?

i see you are in seattle . frys has a 17" lcd for 299 after the rebate if you can squeze out the extra money .

The one I have is the Black and silver one, Dark silver front and black back and base... I could probably get some pix if your interested, price still stands at $250....

Looks like nobody will have these for cheap for a while. I read somewhere that there was a 'crunch' of sorts on 15" LCD's, which is driving the prices back up. 17" LCD's are still the best buy.

But back to the subject, do a pricegrabber search for 15" lcd's. There's a Phillips black 15" for $199 that'll be fine for non-gaming, general usage (25ms avg. refresh).

Oh, and Staples has a few under $300 if you do a search on their site, add their recent $30 off $150 coupon posted elsewhere here on T-mo and the price becomes quite acceptable and close to your budget (free shipping from Staples, too). Good luck.
