Don't know personally, I've never played Thief or Thief 2. Not a bad price being free with a magazine though.

I'm subscribed to the magazine. I would never have played Thief 2 and Deus Ex if i hadn't gotten them that way, and they are great.

Dark Age of Camelot sucks, I don't want to play 10 bucks a month to play an RPG

It won this years GameSpy "Best Bang for the Buck" award. Here's the award review:

"It's hard to do better than "free," but America's Army has continually proved to be no throwaway marketing ploy -- it's a solid multiplayer game more than worthy of gamers' time. Using solid Unreal engine technology and focusing on ultra-realistic weapons and combat, America's Army: Operations attracted a huge fan base last year that remains a permanent fixture on the GameSpy online rankings list. Recently, a major v2.0 update called "Special Forces" was released, proving that the Army isn't about to sit back and enjoy the game's success -- it's committed to expanding the game. Yes, it's a massive advertisement for the Army, but there's also some really good fun in here that competes with the best of today's shooters -- hard to turn down for any gamer on a budget!"

Haven't played it myself yet but I'll be picking up a copy of Computer Gaming World this month and getting the update to 2.0

EDIT: It looks like I already got the January issue of CGW in the mail (a few weeks ago), and I didn't get the CD.

How much is an issue in-store? I was at Walmart today and I didn't see CGW (I could have overlooked).

Where else do they sell this?

BTW, I played some of Theif I, and it is pretty good.
