WTB/TF- Case cooling solution

I bought a case without any vents in the front for a fan and it can not be cut easily. I need some sort of alternative cooling that will let me pull air in through the front of the case. It has open drive bays so I could use those if there are any fans that fit. I'd rather not have three little 40mm fans buzzing away in there, but I would settle for that if necessary. I've got a ton of stuff to trade (way too much to list). I also have paypal. Heatware and eBay as kc2ilq. If you have any suggestions, please LMK!
TIA!

It's the same as this case, but it's white and has a window. It was an Amamax $19 special a few weeks ago.

Have you thought about cutting a hole in the lower right side of the window to draw in cold air? That would probably be the best plan of action, and probably the cheapest. Just cut the whole to the fan size (80mm/120mm/60mm) and drill the holes for the mounting screws and your set to go. Just add a fan grill too (for safety)

PM back rourkchris.

truckie- the window actually has a hole for a fan towards the rear of it, but I really wanted something to pull air in from the front. I wanted to get this done with as little modificaton to the case as possible, but I might have to.

There must be some sort of decent 5.25" bay thingie with fans in it.

well here is one option...add a standard 80mm fan to the two open Bays like in this pic...
http://www.silverlf.com/jpmiller/amamax_case2.jpg
if you cant do it yourself and arent in too much of a hurry, I would do it for $12 if you shipped me the bay covers...have done this mod a dozen times... $12 covers a good fan, wire guard, and the mod itself.
you epoxy the two together, reinforce them, affix a flat plastic tab for the fan to screw into and attach the fanguard on outside.

Kc2iLq,

Is your case window the equal size all around the door? (say square or round?) if so you may be able to spin the window around by removing it and have that hole for the fan near the front of the case. That would draw enough air into the case, and right across the hdd bay area. If you dont want all the hassle try this out:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=42003
its actually for cooling hdds, but you can use it just as a air intake system in your spare 5.25" bay slot. Its a pretty decent price too Remember you wil need to flip the fans to pull air INTO the case since the current item is used to pull air out.

Hope this helped!

Thanks guys!

JPMiller- I'm going to try to do that mod and I'll let you know how it goes. It seems pretty simple (but I'll find a way to screw it up.) I have a few extra fans, some grille covers, passthrough leads, epoxy, etc... The only thing I don't have is $12. ;-)

Truckie- With my luck, I'll probably end up screwing up JPMiller's mod and buying one of those, but I'll hold off for now.

Thanks again!
