I'm not sure what you mean by "my system can only use up to 128mb." Can you elaborate a little further? Maybe we can save you from having to sell that card. |

Plus you didnt post a price which is against the rules.
Haven't heard of that before memory on a card should not matter regardless of mobo.

I have a ge force 2 mx400 which runs perfectly. The technichian at comp usa told me I needed adjustments to my motherboard to effectivly use the 256. When it was installed in my system I always got error reports. It cost me $250. I will sell it for $160.

Damn, too bad I like playing games. That's a decent price for a 256Mb card!

any references or pics? Wow you paid way too much for that card. Newegg sells those for what you are asking for. Also is this the ultra, XT, or regular version?

Its a regular version. Iam not sure what you mean by referances.
This is my first day on this forum. At this point, Iam not sophisticated enough to know how to scan a picture even if I did hav a scanner. The video card has been sitting here idle for the last several months, and I just happened upon this forum. Do you know of any stores that might buy this back from me or allow me to trade it in?

have you thought about using ebay? Not sure of any stores that buy back cards.
Put it this way would YOU buy something from someone without knowing who they were? Just somthing that says your an honest seller.
Since we here dont know you and also your new here. BTW welcome to techimo.

Hey Aleck, maybe if you post some specs of your system like mother board, CPU, memory, OS, and such we could help you to get that card to work in your system. Why didn't the CompUSA tech do the adjustments for you? |

Hi,
My system is a clone, originally a gateway computer but I changed the motherboard to an asus motherboard when I inreased the cpu to 2.2 gigahertz. My memory is 768mb of ram, made up of 1 512 stick of 133 ddr,and 1 256 stick of 133 ddr ram.
The video card is a ge force mmx400. The compUSA Tech tried to adjust the system and got it stablized, but whenever I try to run any program with the 5600 card, I get "system is unstable" error reports. I haven't been able to figure it out, neither could the technician.
