Wanted HDD

I'm looking for a Maxtor 7200rpm 60 gig HDD. Model#6L060J3, Family Name D740-6L. I either need the whole drive or just the Working Circuit board. Trying to do a self recover of a drive with broken pin. any help would be great. Thanks

What pin broke?

The IDE pin number 39 i beleive. Broken from the board itself. pin is intact but bent. when connected to MoBo it give crazey multi-symbol identifier. Contacted maxtor said if I could find another board or whole drive. Changing the board is just 7 screws and the only thing there may be an issue is with the serial number but that is stored on the chipset.

Ok, I have also bent, then broke IDE drive pins, but on the other side. I have some decent soldering skills, and managed to solder a piece of wire to the broken off pin and plugged the cable in and it worked. If you do not find the drive you are looking for, maybe take your drive to a good TV repair shop and let some of those technicians see if they think they can repair it enough to make connection.
