also, any buyer/seller references?

I have one of those cameras. Got it free from Earthlink when I signed up. When it works I can say the video is ok for that price. WIll suit most "netmeeting" applications.

buying a batch like that would be sweet for a retail store owner..cuz peeps like to look at cameras, lol...he could throw em in as deal sweeteners or throw em in for $15 .

Hmmm... anybody know if one can string multiple cameras together (using the PS2 pass-through) and get several of them working on the same computer? How about V4L (Video 4 Linux) compatibility?

I'm currently researching methods of implementing a security system that can be accessed via the internet and think webcams are probably the most efficient and cost-effective way to go.

I dont see why not, i mean i know my friend father owns a texaco and the camera's are connected to the computer software, if that can be done then i dont see why webcam cant be done.
at least you could run them all on the computer and then use pcanywhere or any program to access the pc via the internet.
