WTB Pentium 2 450 CPU

I'm looking for a CPU to finish out a dual P2 system.

The markings on the CPU I currently have are as follows:

80523PY450512PE
SL2U7-98280299-0301
MALAY

If anyone out there has one I'm interested. I want to use this for a Linux box.

Heatware under Maximum_Confusion

TIA , Max

If you don't get any response here. www.compgeeks.com has some used ones for $18.50 each.

Thanks. I knew compgeeks had some available, I just don't know if they will match stepping codes. This is for the second cpu in a compaq ap400 workstation.

Just get one from CompGeeks. Make sure you get the same package, SECC or SECC2, and you will be fine w/ the stepping.

I don't believe the 450's ever went to the Coppermine core, so they're all Katami's, therefore, they should all have a stepping of "3".

Just match your CPU's SECC package to the one's on CompGeeks.

I think I'm gonna give up refurbishing this PC. I'm gonna salvage what works out of this box. It's worth more than the $5 I paid for it the garage sale.

I can salvage (1) working PII 450, (1) Elsa Synergy+ Video card, (1) stick 256Mb PC100.

I can use the VC and RAM on a different board with no problems and give up this lost project.

Thanks for all of your help.
