3DLabs card, memory. CDRW....

I have a few items available:

3D Labs Oxygen GVX1 AGP 32MB – $20 shipped
128MB PC133 RAM - $15 shipped
Yamaha 8X4X24 CDRW Drive - $15 shipped

I pulled these from another machine and they appear to be in good condition. I am making no guarantees, sale is “as is” on these items.

I am on heatware under “speedstik”.

Let me elaborate a little here….

I pulled these items from my sister’s PC. Her son continuously wedged a pencil into the power supply fan on the PC because of noise. I think just the power supply was fried on this PC. She is long overdue for an upgrade so I am getting her into something a bit faster.

It just so happens I am in the market for a CD drive...my deceased bro-in-laws widow has my old backup machine..and the Toshiba CD rom is getting to where it dosn't like home burned CDs...in otherwords, the laser is on its way out. She could use a burner as a reader even tho she may never want to get into burning stuff.

I presume that drive worked ok before the ship hit the sand?

Shoot me a PM with your snail mail address. You didn't mention PayPay..and thats good!!.. I don't do PayPal.

Later.

I sure wish you had mentioned the dang CDRW was SCSI!! I guess now we must ask the sellers all kinds of questions just to be sure the item is what we need. I can't use a SCSI device, so its a throw-a-way item now...

Thanks!

I sure wish you would have sent me a PM to voice your concern instead of telling everyone in the forums. I was unaware it was SCSI. I will be happy to send you a SCSI PCI card if you wish.

I answered this by PM.

To everybody else, please be observant of what you buy. This appears to have been an honest mistake, but it should have been clarified before the deal was decided on.

IDE is still the norm, and hardly ever so specified in the traders forum as IDE...SCSI on the other hand is always specified as SCSI.

This seller has offered a card...which I cannot use. The cost was minimal and not worth returning etc.

That's a flat out lie! You DID NOT PM me telling me this was a SCSI drive! I have not received a PM from you since 9/13. Instead, you decided to tell the whole forum about it.

None of this needed to be addressed in the forum! That is why they have PM. I am offended by your lack of decorum.

Well, this has gotten out of hand, and I am thru with this thread and debate.

I did not lie, I never lie (on purpose). I did answer the PM you sent with a response PM..check your mail inbox. My answer above that I answered with a PM referred to your post AND your PM.

I really fail to understand your reasoning concerning the mixup. The membership at any forum should always make each other aware of such glitches. You did not attempt to mislead anybody on purpose apparently. No one is accusing you of anything other than not making your list of stuff for sale clear as to what it was.

By simply working with you by way of PM's, the others at this forum would still be in ignorant bliss of what CAN happen when buying stuff. This has been an education for me..and hopefully others too. If you are angry with me for "going public" with this..perhaps you - too will understand that when dealing with others, you need to be specific about what you are offering.

EDIT:
My most sincere apologies to Speedstik and the membership at TechIMO for my above statement concerning my reply by PM.

I DID answer the PM with a PM and then came here and replied by a post as well. I just reviewed my message tracking and sent mail box..and my PM is not there. I have no clue what happened or why...but I did make a PM as stated above, but for whatever reason, it was deleted. I received the notice that the PM was sent..and I left the PM area.

Sorry Speedstik... I did not lie...the glitch was in the PM system somewhere.
