Please help me decide on a new CPU/MB!!!

Ok guys a while back I posted looking for a 1ghz AMD Slot A T-Bird CPU. It seems that since they were produced in such small #s they are not cost effective. My question to you is this: I would like the best processor and motherboard you can get for around $250.00. I have always been partial to AMD but I would consider a P4 processor for the right price. I would also like to be able to to use my PC133 RAM for now. I currently have a 300W power supply. Is there anything else I should consider? Any and all comments are welcome. Links to items would be appreciated as well. Thanks.

Check in at Newegg and go through their motherboard section. I cannnot link to a particular page there anymore. Shuttle, Biostar and ECS are just some of the makers that still make boards that support both PC133 and DDR. They are very reasonably priced. I like the Shuttle brands.

Get the Epox 8RDA+ and the Barton 2500+

It can OC to 3200+ Specs, I have mine runing at 2.32Ghz. Slap on Two sticks of 256 DDR400 from Crucial, and you can have both the cpu and the ram runing at 422FSB
