i am looking for a dead drive here.

i have all the internal parts for this drive but the outer case has a broken plastic piece.(not the front bezel)

i can move all the guts over and presto a new drive.

anyone got a non functional drive or if the get one that they want to dump anyway let me know....i will be glad to pay shipping.

i also think the 40x case will work...

i have tried a lot of other drives but the outer case is not the same.

Wow ... There must be "tossed in the garbage" or dead components at your local recycle station. I suppose every city is different, but here in Plymouth, Massachusetts people check through mountains of such parts at the local land-fill.
