is the 120GB drive a 8mb or 2mb cache?

Nothing on the box and its a sealed box. But I'd say its 2MB. The 8MBs are much more expensive and you notice performance increase if you routinely transfer very large files back and forth (500MB and over).

So take it as 2MB.
