Kids SCSI HDD and P4C800 MB compatable?

I am building my next computer and I have a Hitachi DK32DJ-72
HDD and I am wondering if and how I would connect that to run on an ASUS P4C800 Delux MotherBoard.

HDD: http://www.hgst.com/hdd/support/dk/3/32dj72spec.html

MB: http://www.asus.com/products/mb/sock...d/overview.htm

You'd need a PCI SCSI card that's compatible with that drive and it's transfer rates.

What do you mean PCI SCSI "card" you mean I need a different mother board or that I need some sort of card that functions as an adapter?

That adapter is incompatible with the drive. Depending on the interface, you need either a U160/U320 PCI card(possibly a SCA to 68 pin converter) or in the event that the drive has a fiber channel interface, you'll need a fiber channel adapter, cables and other hardware.

You're looking at a minimum of about 50 for an entry level LSIU160 to hundreds of dollars for more versatile controllers.

Thats the one good thing about SCSI, unless its fibre channel, you can always get an adapter.
