Mitsumi 4x8 CD-R Drive IDE: $10 shipped- is this internal or external??? if external, is is parallel, usb, serial, etc???

what are the serial numbers on the lappy??? lookin for tech specs so i can figure out how far it is upgradable to

it says Model TS30AS on the bottom
i also have a battery for it, i dont know if it works or not
does have sound as well.
