CBM or Tandy, Plotter Pens needed
We support a product that we manufactured in the past, a Blast monitoring Seismograph. This unit incorporated an ALPS plotter.
This plotter carriage was in the Commodore 1520, Tandy CGP-115, the Atari 1020 and the Oric MCP40, printers as well as few more that were really obscure. These pens are 5mm in diam and 23mm long, ball point tip, black ink. Tandy/RadioShack used to have these pens but no long carry them. RS# 126-1480, 3 pens per tube. If you could give me a new source that would be great.
Thanks
Steve

I checked this option out as well those are very large pens and adapters for like calcomp and so on.
The pens I have are 5mm diameter by 23mm long, but to tip.
Thanks for keeping me in mind.
Let me know if you come up with some other ideas

repeat - what does CBM stand for.... Commodore Business Machines (me guessing)?
And as a side thought, Oce supports some weird stuff that might use the same pens.
Also, what model of Alps plotter was used in the Seismograph?

Alps Plotter #
Thanks Dunbar,
The label on the Plotter shows
N.E.E.D.S
PTMPG2104A
438C10
my guess is the PTMxxx is the #
and Yes the CBM is Commodore Business Machinces
This unit was also used in the Mattel Aquarius computer printer.
Oh Radio Shack also had another number that was 10274850, if that helps.
Thanks

Wow. Radofin Aquarius. 1983 era stuff. Collectors items... hobbyist stashes are looking like all there is. Real nitty gritty searching, since this predates the internet.
Any possibility to refill the pens or to retrofit a newer pen design?
Aside from that, I've exhausted my better tricks.

My thought was to make a adapter and cut off old BIC pens.
I don't know.
I got a few bites from some Taiwan Manufacturing Co.s we'll see what comes of that.
Thaks again
