compaq armada 1550dmt

I have a compaq armada 1550dmt and when I turn it on it beeps and the screen flashes. If you hold down the power button for 30 seconds then it beeps and the harddrive starts up, but the screen just stays white. If someone can help me I'd appreciate it.

Does it just beep once, is this beep normal?

It beeps 4 times. 1 long beep then 3 short ones. There is supposed to be a certain meaning for the beeps and the sequence that they beep, but the chart doesn't have any sequences that match this one.
