I remembered when we all laughed and joked around about an idea that sounded so crazy.
And then, today, I picked up a copy of PC Upgrade June/2003.

I found it very interesting...
It headlines (pg. 34) "Build a supercomputer with unlimited power by creating a parallel cluster out of your old PCs.

I've only started to read and thought immediately about the former posting. Check it out, it is pretty interesting.

I havent seen the article yet but CLUSTERING is totally different from what the kid in your link was trying to do at first (I havent bothered to re-read the full thread so clustering might have come up later on in the thread)

I had forgotten about that thread. That was too funny. Yes, that's basically how they make supercomputers, but to think that guy was going to try to build one in his garage!?!! What was he thinking? If I'm not mistaken, that was the same wacko who talked about modding his case with an oxy-acetylene torch and a plasma cutter and stuff like that!! So, Zidane 182, that wasn't you in that thread? All this time, I've been thinking.... LMAO! I'm glad we got that straight!
