This computer was retired from my workplace and was checked out by our IT specialist to verify that it is in good working order. This is in an ATX case and has everything: CD-ROM, floppy disk, hard drive, sound card, video card, modem and network card. The NIB keyboard and mouse was purchased at Micro Center so there is no problem with dead or sticky keys. All you need is a monitor and you are set to go!

So they are Pentium 2 computers? How much RAM and how big are the hard drives?
Are they desktops or towers? Do they have proprietary motherboards or standard atx motherboards?

John, here is the information you requested.
The computer is in a mid-height tower ATX case, (3) 5.25-in bays, (2) 3.5-in bays, one of each is occupied. It has an Asus P2L97 motherboard (2 ISA, 5 PCI, 1 AGP, 3 DIMM) which has the Intel 82440LX chipset, and Award Bios. It has 96 MB RAM, and it is a Pentium II 266 Mhz. It features the Matrox MGA-G100 AGP Power Desk (graphics card), Creative SB PCI 128 (Ensoniq ES 1370) (sound card), Toshiba XM-6202B 32x cd-rom, HSP MicroModem 56 (phone modem) and Intel PRO network adapter. 5 GB hard drive. $70 plus shipping

I like 'em but I am strapped bad right now and I have to buy some used monitors at a show this weekend. Maybe Ill be able to scrape up some cash, hehe. We'll see.

John: Don't fret, the sale of the $40 computer is pending to another buyer. The $60 and $80 computers (Computers #1 and #2) are still available at the moment.
Come on peeps, these computers can be the basis of your next computer project. They are fully operational out of the box, inexpensive to acquire, totally stock so your modifications will really stand out!  | |
