Any suppliers for used monitors??
Are there any good suppliers for used monitors or is it foolish due to shipping costs and therefore best to buy at comp shows....I guess I already know the answer cuz at comp shows you can get used 17"ers for around $45 and I think Ive seen 15" for $29 etc.

I've seen refurb's at computergeeks and tigerdirect but like you said the S&H is high. If your looking for used I would agree and buy at a show

I buy 'em locally just for the S/H reason. Got a local dealer with a reasonable warranty on them and an onsite monitor tech. It's either that or a show, but even then, I'm picky.
Occasionally at places like Overstock.com, you'll see some decent ones, but the prices have to be stupendous to get me to bite.

That site has an invalid certificate currently, and your link took me to their directory. Another link?

This is the best site I've found for used monitors. Shipping is very reasonable, too! http://www.lynswell.com/
I bought a 19" CRT from them and it was a perfect transaction.

Shipping is different depending on which one you choose. The best way to figure it out is registering and start the check-out process. They also add a handling fee, which is $8 or 9 from what I've seen. But that's cuz they make a custom foam package that fits the shape of each monitor. If you have questions, just e-mail them. I have, and was impressed. They even pay round-trip shipping if you find your monitor is defective (within 10 days after receiving it). Check out their FAQs/Shipping information & Warranty information. There's nothing to lose when dealing with them.
Oh, just to give you an idea of shipping, I tried a couple units. One 17" CRT was $26.28 shipping + 8 handling. One 19" unit was $31.49 + 9 handling.

That doesn't seem to bad if you're looking @ 19" to 21" CRT monitors.

Yeah, and the best part is that you're getting name-brand stuff like Nokia, Sony, NEC, Dell, etc.
