My current custom build is built around the SOYO KT-400 Dragon Ultra Black, and I replaced the chipset fan with a red anodized "Red Orb" by TermalTake that I purchased from Hank at Performance PC (he even sleeved the wires for me). This fan is far more efficient (and better looking) than the stock SOYO fan. $14.99, sleeved. Fan dimensions 50X50X15mm, 4600 RPM, 15CFM, noise 26dbA, 12VDC, 0.16A rated current, 7.0 starting voltage, ball Bearing, 50,000 hr Lifetime.

These SOYO boards are very stable,- I've never had a single problem. They are very tweakable for overclocking. Mine will be ready to crank up the FSB (and then some) when AMD takes the choker off the Athlon XP 3000+ Barton core and cranks up the front side bus to 400, instead of the 333 they are currently sitting at.

BTW, that's an incredibly good price for a board that still lists for almost twice that price [in the Platinum edition]. I personally think our Black Dragon boards look WAY better than the Platinum ones, and the specs are identical for black and ultra,- the Platinum ones just came with a SIGMA breakout box.

Hopefully someone benefits from the chipset fan info. I don't think there is any better fan avail, and it's a small investment for the confidence having a high quality reliable ball bearing fan brings,- and it functions as a heatsink. With all of the attention to detail that SOYO puts into thier MOBO's, I can only wonder why in the hell they would have the cheap littl sleeve bearing PLASTIC chipset fans. Maybe they figure "save a few bucks each, sell a million boards,...hmmm 4 million more bucks in the bank...
