That codec sounds awesome...but where the heck would you solder it at?

Me: Hey Jim, we've been more than fellow soldiers, but to me like brothers. Would you take a bullet for me?
Jim: Paul, as long as it doesn't penetrate skin or vital organs, fine. Just finish your burger and help guard the base before they get our flag.

Any chip needs a specific circuit to support it, and ADC/DACs are notorious for needing freaky hi-tech printed circuit board designs in order to avoid noise pickup and crosstalk and quantizing errors and whatnot. If you have something that uses the exact chip and the chip has failed, then the chips are worth considering as replacements. If you are a hobbyist and if you are very talented at PCB design and circuit design, these are good prices... if they work.

In case you didn't know...that is ILLEGAL! If you read the agreement when you sign up for PayPal, any and all surcharges for credit card payment are a breach of contract and can result in the cancellation of your PayPal account, or worse. Not that I care, just a word of warning.

pm from rourkchris answered.

*UPDATE* No Paypal. Since it's illegal to charge credit card processing fees, I'll just ditch paypal. Money orders only please.
