WTB: ATA-133 hard drive

I would prefer a 7200 rpm but any ATA-133 would be fine, just tell me how much you want for it.

Be wary of Maxtor's ATA-133 drives. Had to RMA one.

After a little research I've decided against Maxtor and apparently they are the only major brand that has ATA-133 drives. Kind of makes me wish I had shelled out a little extra for a Serial ATA mobo... oh well I'm going to get a Western Digital ATA-100 7200rpm 60gb drive.

7200 Hard disk drives cant even peak at ATA 100 so an ata 100 drive is plenty.

Misc

I have used 3 Maxtor ATA 133 20 GB drives and have had no failures. They are faster than ATA 100 drives. I benchmark after doing a defrag and the numbers in SiSandra are 27000.

well toasty if you feel the need you can always throw in extra for a serial ATA controller card ofcourse I find Western Digital and Seagate to be the most reputable brands

Yeah, you'll always get conflicting views on HD manufacturers.
