Ever try Radio Shack?

Which type are you looking for? Serial to PS/2, USB to PS/2? I just might have a couple of those hiding around here somewhere.

It's like one of those USB risers. It actually plugs into a set of pins on the mobo. Has to be pretty much for the VA-503+ mobo.

Hey I know what those are! Used to have one a few years back, but got rid of it at a computer recycling place with the rest of the PC. If you cant find one, let me know. There's an electronics supply house nearby that has a bunch of older PC stuff that I can check out for ya.

I'm sure I have an old connecter in the "pile".
It's not a FIC though I don't think it matters as long as you know the pin configuration.
The type I have here are mounted to a backplane that slides into an available back slot.
Let me know and I'll send you it.

too bad they don't have some cards that will plug into an isa slot

Its a single row of pins...6 I think, with one missing. I have a 503+ and had to scrounge up one of these a few months ago. If you can find a PS/2 ribbon (I think the end that connects to the mouse cable is standard..its the mobo header thats different.) You can re wire the plug that couples to the mobo header by following the GIF image below.

The little cards with a PS2 port, 2 USB ports and an infrared port are called ATX form factor cards. They were used almost exclusively on PC Chips boards.

Bovon has the pinout's correct.

1 - Data

2 - Ground
3 - Vcc
4 - Clock
5 - Not used

It looks kinda like what you have there HR, but w/o the USB stuff and the extra PS/2 connector. Later revisions of the board actually included another pinout for a PS/2 keyboard. I don't think anybody made them that way though.

I'd like to have the original part for it if I could. If anybody "scrounges" one up, just PM me. We'll talk bizness then.

Thnx either way!
