Help for rules!

Hi.

Could someone give me a clarification on the rules, specifically EULA agreements?

I have a copy of Office 2002 XP Small Business that came with my laptop uninstalled. It is still in it's shrink-wrap. un-installed and un-activated and un-used!

I'd like to sell it. I can go to eBay and see tons of these for sale and auction. Most sell with some kind of hardware to fufill the EULA that Microsoft has. (But I hate going through eBay and waiting)

So, would it be permissible to sell it for a price here?

(Please let this software find a home... The last thing I need is another copy of Office, I use Office 2000...)

As long as it's not a copy you need to have in your possession to upgrade to the next upgrade.

Not sure about the hardware bit. If it's OEM, then it needs to be sold with a piece of hardware, but I think it has to be NEW hardware of a certain class.

There's a thread somewhere about this - I'll see if I can find it. It contains moderator comments on what is appropriate for sale at TechIMO.

The EULA that was posted in "Link Two" would seem to indicate that I could sell it with an appropriate piece of hardware as long as it is off my computer.

(Which it was, it has never been installed on the computer and never been opened...)
