WTB/WTF Older Apple hardware

Ok, I know there arent many Apple people, an probably fewer that have old hardware laying around. Im looking for old(er) external 5.25" floppy drives. They dont have to work, but Id like for the enclosure to be in decent condition. Id like to find at least 2, 3 would be great. Id also like to find an external 3.5" floppy drive enclosure. If it would make shipping cheaper the cases could be gutted (thats what will be done once theyre here). I dont have many refs, but I can give you some user names of this forum to check with.

Mike, I plan on stuffing a PC into the case of an old Apple IIgs (See the other thread that I just put up). Ive seen people do all kinds of things with older PCs. I just figured Id try my luck at something cool.

Cub, are the cases you're looking for ones of the SCSI variety?

I don't SPECIFICALLY have Apple cases, but I do have a couple of 3.5 adaptable and 5.25 SCSI tanks. Each is a 2 bay case and they'd at least be adaptable to your uses. I also have a Syquest 88 meg SCSI 1 drive with the DB25 SCSI 1 style connector (I think) in a single drive case. Oh, and I'm in Ohio....

Let me know if that's of any help :-)

Oh, and my Mac IIse still has my dad's brain in it, so it's not going anywhere

Well, Id prefer them to be apple drives. Im looking for external 5.25" floppy drives. If I could find an external Apple/Mac harddrive enclosure (like the ones the old SE/30's used), that would be even better. I wish now that I wouldve kept all of my old apple hardware. looks like Ive got something to look for at yard sales/consignment sales. Hope that helps some
