Macintosh PowerBook 170
Released at the same time as the PowerBook 100 and PowerBook 140, the PowerBook 170 served as the high-end model in Apple's new portable line. It featured a 25 MHz 68030 processor and internal 1.44 MB SuperDrive. But the real advantage of the PowerBook 170 was its bigger, 10" active-matrix display. It also used a more advanced nickel cadmium battery, as opposed to the lead acid type used with the PowerBook 100 and the Macintosh Portable.
