I would check out NewEgg.com. I have bought a lot of hardware from there and you can get some good prices and reasonable shipping. Shipping charges are posted with the product descriptions and some are offered with free shipping.

What are your system specs? That might help finding a tailor made video card that suits your needs.

I would also check out ;

Your definitly looking at the right family of cards for that kind of money - A used GF2 GTS or GTS-v should go for around that (Maybe a few bucks higher). If you cant find a seller, I suggest you look for a new GF2 MX400. Your not going to get much better than that for $30. The used GTS or GTS-v would perform better, but probably be harder to find.

Thanks for the advice.
System:
ECS K7S5A Mobo
950 Duron
256 M PC-100 Ram
ATI Rage IIc 8MB AGP
Win 98 SE

I am not a big gamer, mostly word processing and internet surfing, but I would like to download play some of the newer demos and games. Right now I play a little QuakeII and Unreal. Not interested in super high detail or resolution, but I cant play much of anything now. OpenGL, DirectX, 3D -- it all greek to me (actually I know Koine Greek a little better :P)!

What about TNT2 or ATI All-In-Wonder 16 MB? Will these play stuff like Quake3 or Americas Army?

well, a GF2 MX400 64MB'er is the one for you, now, you're going to have to cough about 40 bucks for this one, but its worth it. When i had one, i could play any game on it, and could play UT2003 on it just fine.

check out pricewatch.com for it

Good luck

If you do go for MX's, try to stay away from MX200's
Plan MX's or MX400's would be much preferred.

an AIW 16 would not be enough for Q3. TNT2 should fair better, yet still be seriously underpowered.
I think a GF2 MX is the lowest point you should go if you want to play UT or Q3 or anything later than that. (800x600x16 w/ a ~1Ghz processor).

You can probably bump that to 1024x768x32, or at least 1024x768x16 with a GTS or GTS-v. I suggest spending a few extra dollars and trying to snag a GTS or GTS-v. For America's army, based on the UT2 engine, the GTS would bearly do. You would have to turn down the res to 800x600 to get it tolerable, and probably 640x480 to get it smooth. The MX probably wouldnt even be smooth at 640x480 for AA and UT2 (Just a speculation). Nevertheless, either would be a huge improvement over your rage IIc. If you really cant spend the extra money, the GF2 MX or GF2 MX400 would be what to look for.
